Didn't want the post getting lost in the lengthy thread below. A post referred to The Wolf on 04 01 06. Is our date now April 1st? BTW, The Wolf is a name Nassau uses for Country at some other of their stations.

On a Saturday that happens to also be April Fool's Day?

You could play off the "this is no April Fool's joke" angle, or maybe even stunt all day - weekend. Do you think 107.5 would flip without giving listeners a warning to tune elsewhere? Will 1040 and 1160 simulcast by April 1 or remain 2 separate "sister" religious stations? WCHR is a much older leaning preaching station, WBYN has music blocks, which changed from Christian AC to Praise music recently. Maybe WBYN will be an HD option to 107.5, or maybe they'll webcast. (Those "thrifty" older Pa. Germans (Dutch) will run right out and buy expensive HD radios and computers - LOL!)

Since the April 1 date came from Rick Musselman's address I would think it will be then - and if the Wolf, it will be country. Maybe the "classic rock" approach on 102.5 pushed the start-up date back...

Is it possible Nassau was ready to launch classic rock on 107.5, but then 102.5 beat them to it with their tweak, thus making Nassau resort to Plan B? If my theory is correct, I like plan B better anyway. I think country is their better choice in this market.

Hmmmmmmmmmm...

Bob 94.9, Cat Country 96.1, I-105, WGTY, 92.5 XTU, Red....

What's the better choice? (Sorry, El.....must respectfully disagree)<P ID="signature">______________

Do you actually think it will be country, I personally do not think it will be if it is I welcome the competition. It's lonely being number 1.

XTU has no legit competition at the moment inside the city limits and S.Jersey, some overlap with The Cat in Bucks maybe. RED102.3 too far away and too weak a signal. WGTY too far away. The Big I-105 is the benchmark. Bob and the Cat can be had.

> Bob 94.9,

Weak signal in Berks.

> Cat Country 96.1,

Signal gone by the time you get to Reading.

> WGTY,

Who??? Gettysburg? No chance picking it up in most of Berks.

> 92.5 XTU,

Weak signal in rural parts of Berks.

> Red....

Who??? My cell phone puts out a stronger signal than Red.

> I-105

Ok, I'll give you that one. Good signal in most of Berks. But they're more of a Lancaster station, anyhow. Time to give 'em a run for their money.

This is something kind of interesting...

I turned on 107.5 around noon on Friday, 3/3 in the Reading area. Much to my surprise, they were completely off the air. Did anyone else catch this around that time on Friday? I caught a very weak station that kept fading in and out on 107.5. They were playing a Billy Joel song, followed by a voice guy that said "107.5 Joe FM, We Play Everything." This was followed by "Eternal Flame" - Bangles. I was wondering where this station was coming from. I did some research, and it was 107.5 WKHI, Fruitland, MD (near Salisbury). That station used to be an AC station, but just flipped to variety hits on March 1. Anyhow, that was a pretty good catch with Fruitland, MD being 150+ miles away.
