The Wolf...............

Lia was on WKOA a couple years back, right? I didn't realized she had been replaced.

More counter-programming.

Nothing original.

Par for the course.

Wait til the other guy drops someone/something and pick it up and try to make his failure work for yourself.

Sigh...

::)

I'm sure Lia will do just fine! I had a great time being a part of The Wolf's line-up. Mike Warner and Stephanie P. are "good people" and easy to work with. I'd like to thank AMP for a good 2 1/2 year run! We're so blessed to be doing something we love for a living.

lia is good. and that new lunch girl is good. htat basden guy is now with wolf too.

Quick quiz without looking or going to their website:

What's the current line-up on the Wolf?

In general, the only people on the AMP stations I hear when flipping around are Steve Clark (doing most of the jock work on WSHP---actual show and voice tracking) and Mike Warner (doing about 90% of the commercials, God save the clients paying for that redundancy).

???

;D You must work for their competition......HA! Gotcha! You forgot WAZY now didnt you? Lets see, Stephanie, Scotty, Geek, Afternoon guy. They do carry on the Rocket Bob and Tom....somewhat personalities...Pluse the Colts which are superbowl bound!!!!.Wolf has on Mike Warner, Mid day girl, Lia, Blair Gardner, and I dont think we should forget Kyle Charters who plays a Huge roll in the Purdue Wolf/tailgate show, along with Scotty Blades, Rob Ford, Steve Clark, Tom Koblatz, Joel Rasmus, and all the other Purdue headliners... but..that is just off the top of my head.

"The competition" is a relative term in the Lafayette market. That would have to mean there was a superior station being challenged by another station. I can't really come up with a scenario to justify that terminology.
It's more like "Lafayette stations are all doing about as well as they can with what they've got and the winning is all mostly by default".

Having said that, I give you mad props for knowing that much about any Lafayette station line-ups! I absolutely can't find the time or the reason to listen to anyone for that long to commit a jock line-up to memory.

;D

Sounds like trying compitition for someone else superior on afternoons

GET THE DOOR- IT'S VIZZA!

In order for the Wolf to be somewhat competitive with KOA is if they moved the station to 96.5 (50k vs. 50k) and brought a whole slew of K105 personalities over. Remember, country listeners thrive on more than just the music on their radio station, and bringing Bob, Gary Lee, and/or any of the other K105 heavy-hitters over would in fact be a fairly smart move. However, I don't think Art wants to open his pocket book to cover such a move (and it would be an expensive one). He's running the station on a minimal budget and using it to keep K105's numbers down so WAZY appears to be the top dog. WAZY's cashflow would be the only risk involved since moving the WAZY cashcow to a weaker signal could possibly hurt initial revenue. I don't even think Art Angotti is crazy enough to take such a risk if that experiment goes bust.

Apollo is on the money as to how drastic the moves would have to be for WLFF to take a big chunk out of WKOA.

Everyone "in the bubble" would poo-poo the notion because of the overly-noted animosity toward AMP, but that huge dose of stealing personalities and counter-programming (short of an entire format change) is the only thing AMP could have up it's sleeve at this point.

Gathering together a slew of veteran area broadcasters for one station with a new format is an interesting notion, too! Anybody got the budget and the foresight to give that a shot???

:)
