"The World," Now live everyday?

I'm going to assume that today's episode of "The World" was the last episode that will ever be pre-recorded, due to the fact that Marco Werman was cheerfully talking about the growing market for wine collecting in China while people were laying bloodied and broken on the streets of Boston.

I don't know why they didn't "break in" to today's episode with live coverage of the bombing.

As I understand it, the show is fed at 3pm Eastern. Given the time you posted, your station may record it for later. However, you're right. They should do an updated feed of the show, or your station should pull out and go with NPR's coverage.

As I understand it, it is fed live every hour from 3 p.m. ET to 9 p.m. ET. Even though the BBC newcasts are usually the only live portions of each hour, they do have the option of updating news stories throughout the feeds as necessary.
