The worst commercials in TV history..

Depends where you are or were on Big Boy. Shoney's dropped the Big Boy logo, Frisch's in Ohio still has him. I'm not sure about Azar's in Fort Wayne IN (or if they are still there).

Wow, where do I start?

How about the anti-domestic violence PSA from the 90s where a child watches his parents get into an argument over dinner and the wife said she picked up pizza and and the husband loses his temper and it ends into a physical argument where the husband beats the wife. That commercial scared me I couldn't watch it anymore.

The Capitol One commercials with David Spade turning people down.

I remember watching a Golden Grahams commercial where parents pick a kid up from college and he says when he gets home he is going to have some Golden Grahams and they pull over and kick him out of the car so they can have Golden Grahams. Greedy bastards! You are not supposed to do that to your child! You should have never been parents to begin with!

The Coke commercials where someone asks for coke and they say they don't have any and they get all pissy

The most recent commercial that gets on my nerves is the "Oh No! Your tires all flat and junk!" commercial.

I liked the David Spade commercials. I like David Spade no matter what he does. I wish I had known this when "Just Shoot Me" was still on. I watched "Benchwarmers" this week. Where di he get Molly Ringwald's hair from "The Facts of Life"? :D

I liked the old 1984 tasteless lawyer ad where they show a dog barking, cue announcer "That's a beautiful dog", then you hear it turn viscious & a woman scream & then they show a babys blanket lying in the snow & a baby crying.

Someone mentioned commercials that gave them a headache. Bayer had one. The bottle was slammed down with such force (not a real bottle, obviously) it sounded like a hammer for railroad spikes or something. I told Bayer I wouldn't buy anything from them until those stopped.

My vote for one of the worst commercials of all time...

The stupid Yoplait yogurt commercial with the silly woman talking on the phone with her friend, which starts with her saying, "My diet... well, yesterday I had an apple turnover...", and she goes on to describe various desserts, while her husband is rooting through the refrigerator looking for said desserts.

Maybe I have issues, but when that commercial comes on, I immediately have to hit the mute button or change the channel, because I find it so incredibly stupid- so much so that it actually makes me angry! I'd like to shove an entire apple turnover down that woman's throat if that's what it would take to shut her up.

(Sorry for the rage-filled post, but that stupid commercial showed up on just about every commercial break during the Barney Miller marathon on WGN today! Which, by the way, is the first time I've seen that particular commercial for awhile.)

After "treating" myself to having to see this commercial again during the Rose Bowl, I now nominate the latest commercial in the Windows Phone campaign as another one of my "worst commercial" choice--the one taking place during a business meeting with a "Joanie Loves Chachi"-esque song playing in the background:

When I first saw this commercial, I thought the song was actually going to be a parody of the "Joanie Loves Chachi" theme. Now I wish I hadn't made that last statement--I hope I didn't give Microsoft an idea for their next ad.

I remember this commercial from about 10 years ago fondly and thought it was funny, but apparently some groups(animal rights, mostly) did not and got it pulled off the air

Okayyyyyy, I'm not an animal rights activist in any way, shape, or form, and I didn't find this spot funny at all. My wife just watched it, and left the room shaking her head.

I guess we just don't find people getting mauled by wolves comical.

???

I thought that one was pretty good as where most of Outpost.com's commercials back then. The joke wasn't really in the wolves mauling people. The joke was how all their commercial ideas ended up having terrible consequences or were not very well thought out such as tattooing toddlers and launching hamsters through the O in Outpost.com.

ANY of the Alltel commercials with Chad & the sales guys. I loathe them all enough to tune out & not come back.
Also, I can't remember the product but I think it was a kids lactaid type shake commercial with the mother & the very young daughter in the store. Mother asks "how about roast beef?" child answers "I fon't like roast beef"...mom says "how about chicken"...reply..."I don't think I like chicken"

YOU'LL EAT WHAT IS PUT ON YOUR PLATE OR YOU WILL STARVE!!!

Most of them are pretty bad EXCEPT the one I call "Cankles" (where the 3 girls are meeting up outside the club and Chad is called in to settle a dispute among the girls as to which one has the worst "cankles".

The Progressive insurance commercials with the woman
who works in a Staples-like store that sells insurance plans
in packages (literally). Pardon the possible sexism, but I
can't even stand to look at her!

The Subway commercial a year or so ago with the black guy sitting in the Subway & is scratching off his contest ticket & screams "I WON....I WON!!!" and throws his drink all over the family sitting at the table next to him. Just another excuse for people to be uncivilized. ::)

My wife can't stand those commercials either or anything Geico..

I think it's for the dog treats "Beggin' Strips" (?) with the sog sniffing around being eratic saying "BACON...GOTTA HAVE BACON...REAL BACONBACONBACONBACON...IT'S BACCCOOOONNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I have to really hurry & mute that one.
Any spot with sirens or people yelling get the axe.

Sorry, but I have to give that dog a pass. I've had two,
and they'd go wild at the smell of certain things like steak;
one of them (and I'm not making this up) would go crazy
at the mention of the word "spaghetti" (he loved it). Maybe
it's the human doing the voice that you don't like; the dog is
just doing what comes naturally to a dog.
