The worst commercials in TV history..

I am looking forward to Sept. 4--when the Nissan "Summer Savings" sale ends. In other words, I am sick of those ads with their version of "Summer Nights" from Grease--which IMO was already one of the worst songs ever recorded in history.

Isn't that something like those government house buys that ran every single day for awhile that if your last name started with A-L call today, and everyone else call tomorrow? That was radio though. Or the commercials that run every ten minutes to have your credit card ready and be the first 500 callers to receive the second one free or no shipping or something?

That would be CRN-Consumer Resource Network with the first ads. They say "All people with the last name A-L, please call right now. All people with the last name M-Z can call tomorrow, 9AM." One word: SCAM!!

These arent TV ads per se, but they are run in the  place I bank at, Charter One Bank in Ohio and other Midwest States as well as Citizens Bank on the East Coast (same owners)..Promos that run while one is in line waiting to be served..

Somehow, the Founding Fathers, including Alexander Hamilton "Father of Modern Banking" are transported into the 21st Century and just "hang around" Charter One/Citizens Bank Branches and talk how saving money is the wise thing to do and interact with modern folks..Some of these are quite funny..If you bank with Citizens/Charter One, you've seen them over the last couple of years..

Those "same owners", oddly enough, are RBS, speaking of Founding Fathers.

Another opening NFL Sunday, and another post by me on this thread. The cause: the NFL.com Fantasy Football ad that just aired a few minutes ago on CBS' Bears/Colts coverage--the guy in the field seemed too creepy to me.

And we all know that all Geico ads are bad, but the one that's been played ad nauseum today during all NFL games with "Sunshine" the wolfman in the cheerleading skirt is worthy of this list. Stupid.

weee weee weee weee Maxwell you're home.

I caught one of those ads recently on TV -- I won't be surprised if they run the exact same ad everyday, even when it's on M-Z's day.

They do.

Here are two bad commercials on tv right now!

1. A paper towel commercial where kids put everything on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Including lettuce and tomato. Ewww!

2. Those commercials with Mike Rowe and him all dirty and I think to myself, dude! Get a bath!

And also the latest work of art from Geico--with Eddie Money singing a horrible rendition of "Two Tickets to Paradise." I saw that ad yesterday during one of the college football games (either Big Ten Network or CBS' SEC Missouri-South Carolina). And I'm sure it will be on today during the NFL.

How about those rhetorical questions Geico asked for a few years?

Can switching to Geico really save you 15% or more on car insurance?

What, do you want me to stop doing these rhetorical questions?

Well, that's too bad! Who you think you are?
