The worst commercials in TV history..

OK, here's one I think we can all agree on. A current ad for the 2027 Kia Telluride featuring a happy family taking their kid to the beach...to approach a sea lion and giving it his stuffed sea lion to play with and what, nurture?
A definite third rail is that people should not approach, harass or touch sea creatures on the beach such as seals and sea lions. This ad even includes a warning against doing this in very fine print at the bottom of the screen while the kid is doing just that for all of 5 seconds or so. Can't wait to hear from people who will be arrested for harassing wildlife (it's an actual thing) citing this Kia ad in their defense.
Can't belive that this ad actually got out of committe and was greenlighted for production and then actually is airing. If I had the authority ove content I would decline to air this ad.
I know that ads include warnings all the time but this is warning against somethign that looks innocent, so you know people aren't going to pay attention to the warning if they even see it.

In Phoenix half of the ads on billboards are for lawyers (Rafi!, Sweet James, The Husband & Wife Law Firm, and Lerner & Rowe). The rest are for pot dispensaries and gambling (sports betting and casinos).

Ambulance chasers are close to half of TV ads (most of the others being house-flippers) and close to 90% of Valley Metro buses.

If broadcasters were still required to adhere to the old TV/radio code of the '50s and '60s, probably 90% would go out of business.

Sign of the times. Every one of those is targeting exactly the same demographic: the financially destitute. (Those frivolous tort litigation factories functionally present themselves to potential clients as winning lotto tickets. They may as well be commercials for playing the lottery.)

In April I helped my daughter move from Texas to Kansas, and I noticed that Texas and Oklahoma have so many lawyer billboards too, it starts to get old. That's one thing you don't see in North Dakota. Maybe we just aren't as sue-happy?

Not a "worst" commercial by any means, but the "Client Story: Luke and Anne" ad from J.P. Morgan came on a short time ago during PBA Bowling coverage on CBS. (and most likely it will be on during the RBC Canadian Open golf coverage starting in less than an hour after I'm typing this).

When I saw this ad, I actually thought the guy who played "Luke" in this ad looked like Jerry Reinsdorf. Yes, that Jerry Reinsdorf who is still stubbornly hanging on to owning the Chicago White Sox (even after the 2024 disaster), even though they are playing their best baseball in 4 years so far this season.

Now if the guy in the ad was indeed Reinsdorf, then a Strong Yes on adding the linked JP Morgan ad below to the "worst commercials" list. Talking about retirement while still not "retiring" from the White Sox.

Speaking of the Sox, this ad was their Opening Day 2024 promo via MLB.com. If this also aired on TV (e.g., the former Comcast Sports Net Chicago or elsewhere), based on their 2024 performance this ad might qualify for the "worst commercial" list:

In Alabama, we have our fair-share of Alexander Shunnarrah billboards. He is the Billy Mays of lawyers.

The one I just saw during Sunday Night Baseball from Manscaped which featured animated piles of talking pubic hair.
No, I am not kidding. Just when you think the worst can't be topped. Oh for the days when Mikey Mantle or Joe
Namath would get their face shaved by some cute blonde.

Highway billboards should be outlawed, IMO. People need to keep their eyes on the road.

The Canadian domestic violence PSAs from Home Front.

One has a man attacking a waitress because she accidentally spilled his coffee

Another has a man attacking a female co-worker after he said something he did not like.

One has a grocery store worker hitting a little girl with a clipboard,

Those ads really make me sick. And really goes to show that workplace violence is a problem.

That man who attacked the waitress in front of his family if I was his wife I would have left his sorry ass. He is setting a bad example for his children.

And the comments section on YouTube for those ads. It is nothing but jokes. Making jokes about things like that are sick. Those women did not deserve to be physically attacked no matter what they have done.

I'm absolutely shocked that such things need to be aired in Canada. I thought they were a much friendlier country than we are here in the States. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I've never seen such ads in the US, but in all those instances, the cops would be involved in about 5 minutes in the real world.

Very true in fact: Homefront’s tagline is: “You won’t get away with it here. Why should you get away with it at home?”

One has a woman’s boss attacking her for coming in late. Right in front of her co-workers.

Add the annoying boy-band song in the latest Plexaderm ad to the Worst Commercials list:

I had to be unexpectedly off work sick today but I earlier had Price is Right and one of our market's local noon newscasts both on and was stuck having to listen to this annoying ad several times during both broadcasts.
