The "X Factor" Thread

X Factor needs to explain how they are different from Got Talent. Wasn't America's got Talent a direct franchise off the X Factor series from the UK?

It's cheap to produce versus a scripted show. Pulls in sought after younger skewing demographics and if the past ratings are any indication, these types of shows are still considered popular. I don't see how this show doesn't do well.

Personally, I think the bottom fell out of these talent shows a long time ago but I am not the one advertisers are trying to reach. I've never watched American Idol and can guarantee I will not be watching The X Factor.

Everything about this show screams American Idol on account that The X Factor is another American Idol and another junk show that will be on forever. X Factor covers the fall of the year while American Idol covers most of the winter and most of the spring. I hope and pray that Cowell doesn't produce another of the same show for the summer on FOX. He might as well fill out the whole year with it. ::)

Maybe O'Reilly can use the title for his show to appeal to younger viewers. :p

However Cowell does have a summer series on NBC called Got Talent. Does this mean that Got Talent moves to Fox probably not. But doesnt X Factor have to be off for 2-3 weeks for World Series in October and November?
