MMR close to a 5.0, best in years, Wired and the Beat dropping like a rock, JJZ and other urban flavored stations going under, except for the legend DAS-F. YSP up a snitch. Does anyone get it, MMR is up because THERE IS NO OTHER OUTLET PLAYING ANY SORT OF NEW ROCK IN TOWN. Geeze... what do this briefcase bandits need to educate them that Rap and Hip Hop are dead and Active or any type of new Rock is alive and well. MGK up also due to their style of Chicken Rock, but at least its rockish. These owners need to know the audiance is thirsting for a Rock outlet, its not all P&S, believe me, if MMR can do this good with the garbage they are putting out and the heavy commercial load, just think what a full time Active Rocker with little talk can do. Is anyone listening....

To you? No. But I do feel the tide is changing. The rap coming out is getting worse and worse and with new albums from RHCP and Pearl Jam as the reemergence of Buckcherry I think you may see CHR's playing more rock music but I don't think you'll see any flips any time soon to a fulltime rock station.
 
Looks as if Radio One should have stuck w/Y-100 and ditched the Beat for Praise.............but no they had to force their 'one sided' program down our throats when it was already in place....well now they are missing out on capitalizing on some thing.Clear Channel should merge Smooth Jazz 106 into Sunny and gives us Active Rock 106. WJJZ has no hertiage in Philly like their other 4 FMers so I do not think it will be missed too much.
 
Ra***t, I mean Radio One is only interested in one brand of programming, for one audiance. The now defunct token Alternative down south is out of business, so they are pure urbanic, they are out to take down the Rock outlets they buy, thus turning them into urban wastelands. They destroyed three W**** frequencies in this area, WDRE-103.9/WPLY-100.3 and WSNJ-107.7 and what did they put on them, you guessed it. Flipping Y-100 was a down right R***** move, although they will argue it was a business one, anyone with half a brain would know they made tons more cash with PLY, its their own crowd they want to embrace, money is second fiddle where they are concerned. I guess if it were reversed, lets say when CC came in and bought DAS-A/F, and Power and flipped them to Hard Rock, all hell would break loose and hothead and the rest would be crying R*****, R*****, R*****...

Um, 3-K Rock? Do you work for any broadcasting outlet? Would you please provide proof for what your asserting? WTF is a WHITE frequency?Please stop pulling stuff out of your cloaca.
 
What is a cloaca? I mean seriously, I've never heard that terminology used before.RockIntern seems to have some real race issues...
 
Since you revised this old thread, let me inform you, if you call someone that has no full time Active Rock format to listen to, in market #6 When all you have on the Ter dial is Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul Oldies, Jazz, Gospel, Soft R&B, and other urban formats, then I guess I have real race issues. If the shoe was on the other foot, I am sure the "other kind". would be yelling and carrying on. All I ask for is an Active Rock format 24/7, IMHO the rest of the dial can go to the devil for all I care, I am not selfish [EDIT].[EDIT*=inflamatory]
