These translators desperately need fixing

There are two translators with frequencies of 93.7, and 95.3 I believe the tower's in Overland Park. They're both broadcasting silence and were a month ago, the silence goes on and on and on...

Both are owned by the same people, and are supposed to be retransmitting 2 Catholic stations in the Kansas City area. Is their engineer or another engineer who's willing to restore sound on the stations reading these forums?

Both still playing nothing right now with on transmitters......

Now both 93.7 and 95.3 are completely off it seems... Clears up 93.7 for car transmitters I guess.

Supposedly from what I heard, the reason the translators are silent so much are their Comrex units won't stay connected properly.

Now Catholic Radio Network's 92.9 is broadcasting silence, at full power while the other 2 FMs aren't on, or are on very low power with silence.
Turns out their engineer is from Springfield and is taking his/her time to fix the translators. Any engineers in KC wanna do something nice for the Catholics? LOL

dude, who cares? you post on here about problems like someones gonna notice and do something about it. you post about stations no one cares about and you end up, like in this thread talking to yourself.

LOL you're right they don't care about 93.7 and 95.3.

92.9 has been fixed though.

Preach on again my brother from another mother.

Dan <><

P.S. And many of these engineers have more than one radio station, to keep up and running. Just so you know.

92.9 has been fixed though.

I also happen to personally know the director of radio operations for Catholic Radio Network in Kansas city (92.9, 1090, etc).. and anytime ive called him with an issue, its been attended to nearly immediately

Cool, man.
What does he say about 93.7's and 95.3's long absence? Or have you asked?

havent asked.. i dont report second hand unverified info with no details. you can contact them yourselves, as ive suggested you do

I've done that. Their reply was that they're waiting for an engineer to fix it, and engineer from the Springfield area. So there are no broadcast engineers in Kansas City, or these people don't know where to look.

The 2 translators have been off for over a year now, I'd think even the person from Springfield might get around to fixing thingds by now. I can tell you I'm at 39th and Troost and I cannot hear anything on 93.7, when there should be a translator there. (Well I take that back, around my place there's a part 15 at 93.7 until the translator comes on.)
Same with 95.3, however there's an LPFM in my area covering 95.3.

Nothing has changed, 93.7 still sounds to be broadcasting silence at low power. 95.3 still is off the air. They should surrender the licenses and stop hogging up the frequencies so no on can use them. I'm sure in 93.7's case, that's an empty channel in KC unless you're very close to the silent translator.

K225CI 92.9 and KMVG 890 AM were on but dead air today. As for 92.9 it's been dead since the rain yesterday, but I didn't check 890 until a couple hours ago. I did let them know about 92.9's dead air earlier before I checked 890. K225CI is paired up with KEXS though not KMVG.

As for 93.7 and 95.3, last I was very close to their transmitter and could pick them up 95.3 was not on and 93.7 was very, very low power and broadcasting silence.
