WWE is scheduled to end at 10:30 E/9:30 C. Programming for 10:30 seems to be up to the affiliate. WNYW NYC is airing local program "Street Soldiers". KHON Hawaii will be airing Wheel at 9:30 after WWE (hopefully it doesn't run long).
Smackdown is only 2 hours so it runs from 7-9 CDT and wont run long. Dont know where you got info that it runs until 9:30
Plus, it can also be moved over to WWOR 9 if needed tooAnyway...
FOX has a national MLB game tonight from 7-10 Eastern (Braves/Phillies), though some markets are airing more local games such as Baltimore with the Orioles game. This pre-empts prime access syndies or newscasts. Here in NY, WNYW is pre-empting Extra (which just moved over from WNBC) and Big Bang Theory. This hardly matters for Extra since it repeats twice, once overnight and again the following weekday afternoon.
As they should've doneThe Cardinals/Cubs game on FOX ran even longer than last week's game thanks to the Cubs tying the game during the 9th inning and necessitating a 10th. Again, the time slot for the game ended at 10:00 Eastern. The final out was caught at 10:57, and then after commercials, field interviews, and more commercials, FOX signed off at 11:10.
Again, this resulted in Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune getting (pre-)pre-empted on KDVR Denver, as they were scheduled at 8:00 and 8:30 Mountain right after the game, but they were skipped straight to the local news.

Also unlike Sporting events, Smackdown is only live in the East and Central time zone. The rest is "tape delayed" to be shown in the 7-9 or 8-10 slot
Oops. I must have swiped a little too fast when checking my listings on my phone. I figured it was odd that WNYW wasn't doing a post-event newscast, then saw that they did at 10:00. Pardon my mistake.

Besides, I don't believe WNYW generally moves pre-empted programming there, do they?
Looks like CBS will be doing a postgame after the SEC game weekly to get it to 6:30 CDT.
This week WCCO Minneapolis had no 6pm news..they went to Wheel (CBS O&O)
KEYC Mankato showed full news and no Wheel (Gray owned)
This has happened every Saturday so far this season. You'd think CBS would just take over the 7:00-7:30 Eastern slot by now so affiliates don't have to schedule "maybe/maybe not" shows or news in that slot. For those that schedule news that doesn't delay if there's overrun, like WCCO, I wonder if at some point, the anchors are basically told, "Yeah, they're running post game to 6:30 again tonight. You guys can go home". I'd be annoyed if I had to keep showing up to the studio on a Saturday evening and be ready for a newscast that we probably knew wouldn't happen. I have no idea how that works, though. Maybe CBS sends out some memo about their scheduling plans if the play clock is at a certain time at a certain hour?

If there is a regular postgame show on CBS until 6:30 CT WREG CBS 3 in Memphis and WBBJ 7.3 in Jackson, TN must be dropping it for news except if games run over, and they run a shortened news report if necessary. WREG has a local talk show called Informed Sources at 6:30 so that is something that can probably be dropped easily if necessary.
Tonight's MNF game is between the Browns and 49ers, and programming is affected in both teams' markets.
Cleveland is airing the game on NBC affiliate WKYC. An hour of pregame coverage begins at 7:00 Eastern, pre-empting a local newscast and Entertainment Tonight, and the game itself is slotted from 8:00-11:00, pre-empting The Voice and Bluff City Law. ET isn't airing at all, Voice is delayed to 2:07 AM (replacing Sister Circle, a repeat of NBC Nightly News, and Early Today), and BCL is delayed to 2:07 AM tomorrow night/Wednesday morning.
Over in SF, the game is on ABC O&O KGO, slotted from 5:00-8:30 PM Pacific with no pregame, pre-empting local news at 5:00 and 6:00, a repeat of ABC World News Tonight at 5:30 (it also airs live with the East Coast at 3:30), Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, and part of Dancing With the Stars. KGO's entire primetime and late night lineup slides back half an hour (possibly further if there's overrun), with DWTS at 8:30, The Good Doctor at 10:30, the "11:00 news" at 11:30, Kimmel at 12:05, Nightline at 1:07, a news repeat at 1:42, and a repeat of Tamron Hall at 2:12. As for Jeopardy! and Wheel, KGO's site implies that Tamron will be cut off at 3:00 to show Jeopardy!, followed by Wheel at 3:30. However, Zap2It has a full hour of Tamron with Jeopardy! at 3:12 and only 18 minutes of Wheel from 3:42-4:00, implying a cutoff to start America This Morning on time.
Weird that WKYC Cleveland is not accounting for the last half hour in their schedule. Surely they will end up delaying the 11:00 news and likely cut off Fallon.
So the game ended on time and actually signed off at 11:15 Eastern, which was the end of the time slot on ESPN's national broadcast.Weird that WKYC Cleveland is not accounting for the last half hour in their schedule. Surely they will end up delaying the 11:00 news and likely cut off Fallon.
