They preempted that for this?

In Boston, WCVB Is showing the Game. According to there website, Dancing with the Stars is moving to the MeTV subchannel when The Good Doctor will air early Tuesday Morning.

It's the same with WMUR in New Hampshire as well.

PIX 11 in NYC will have the 2nd of 4 Monday Night Football Games this season (Patriots vs. Jets). Those without On Demand will have to wait till Saturday 10/26 to see new episodes of All American and Black Lightning.

Actually, Black Lightning is airing Tuesday evening and All American Wednesday evening, both at 7:00 in place of black-ish reruns.

Also on WPIX, due to the shuffling around of syndie sitcoms to accommodate MNF and the Monday primetime make-ups, True Crime Files is gone until Thursday night/Friday morning. Tonight, the late night news airs after the game from 11:30-12:30 (game time permitting) instead of the usual 10:00. Seinfeld's double-run from 11-12 moves to TCF's slot from 3-4 AM. The two-hour block of Friends/2.5 Men/2.5 Men/Mom from 12-2 slides back half an hour to 12:30-2:30, and the rerun of black-ish that would have aired at 7:30 PM is moved to 2:30 to fill in that hour, replacing a repeat of the 10:00 news that usually airs from 2-3. On Tuesday and Wednesday nights, due to the CW primetime make-ups from 7-8, the black-ish double run moves to 3-4 AM both days in place of TCF.

It's Election Day in Canada today, so some of the Canadian networks are airing coverage. YesTV is not airing anything different from their Monday lineup, but CHEK in Vancouver has coverage from 7-11 Pacific. Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! move up an hour early to 6:00 and 6:30, replacing a newscast, and two reruns of Blue Bloods at 8 and 9 are pre-empted entirely.

Superstation CJON/NTV out of Newfoundland is airing coverage from 8:30P-3:30A local time (7P-2A Eastern), which pre-empts the following shows: Bull (one week behind the US), 9-1-1 (same ep as FOX), a repeat of the previous episode of Prodigal Son, the current episode of Prodigal Son, CTV National News, local news, Colbert, and Lily Singh. CTV National News is delayed to 3:30 AM following the election coverage (replacing The Neighborhood, same ep seen on CBS the previous evening), and 9-1-1 is bumped to 4:00 AM in place of The Talk (same ep seen on CBS the previous day).

World Series begins today, and coverage begins at 7:30 Eastern, once again screwing over prime access syndies on FOX affiliates.

WXIX Cincinnati and WLUK Green Bay as usual are moving Wheel of Fortune an hour early (against its supposed "must air in prime access" rule), with the former also moving Jeopardy! half an hour early.

With 7:30 ET/6:30 CT being the most popular time slot for WOF, multiple cities are airing Jeopardy! at its normal time, but bumping WOF to late night, including New Orleans (WVUE), Baltimore (WBFF), Mobile (WALA), and Kansas City (WDAF, which does not carry J!). The only market that is airing WOF in prime access but Jeopardy! in late night is Lake Charles, LA (KVHP), where J! will air in a double run after the game with its secondary rerun. WSYT Syracuse also airs J! at 7:30, but they are moving it up to 6:30, while WOF stays put at 7:00. Both shows are affected in Denver, with KDVR bumping them to 1:05 and 1:35 AM MT. The WOF producers probably aren't too thrilled in the potential ratings drop with some decent-sized markets essentially only airing the show one day this week, and in other top markets where WOF is on opposite the pregame like NYC, I'm sure many people will switch to FOX after Jeopardy! finishes.

KHON in Hawaii schedules 90 minutes of news between the scheduled end of the games and WOF, so I don't know what their "minimum news runtime" is and whether overrun could cause WOF to start late or not air at all.

Turns out that "minimum" is 30 minutes. The WS game ran very long and did not sign off until about 12:05 AM Eastern time, so KHON's 6:00 newscast ran for a full half hour, and the anchors announced when signing off, "We will be joining The Wheel of Fortune in progress due to the length of the World Series game." After several commercials, a JIP card appeared, and WOF cut in during the first letter of the second round. In other words, if WS overruns by over an hour, WOF will be affected, and I assume this is also the case if TNF overruns by more than 30 minutes.

WBFF Baltimore and WVUE New Orleans both air WOF after the game but have mandatory newscasts in between, which pushes the show back, so WOF did not air on these stations until roughly 70 minutes after they were listed (even though WBFF's promos for the show that air immediately after Jeopardy! finishes still say that WOF will air "at midnight" rather than "after the game and news").

World Series Game 2 overran even longer, by nearly an hour and a half. WNYW did not begin their newscast until 12:27 AM Eastern. KHON Hawaii will likely pre-empt Wheel of Fortune entirely tonight.

WDIV in Detroit is airing a live special from NBC News Learn tonight from 7-8 PM on education in Detroit schools, pre-empting Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!. This station really tends to flip-flop when it comes to pre-empting one or both shows, usually not airing them at all, but sometimes pre-empting NBC primetime to make up for them. This time around, tonight's episode of WOF isn't on the schedule at all. It appears tonight's Jeopardy! is being delayed to 12:30 PM tomorrow afternoon in place of an infomercial, though it is listed as the "Daytime Jeopardy!" rerun series, which WDIV stopped carrying at least a couple years ago. 90% of the time, WDIV gives better treatment to J! than WOF in pre-emption situations (despite dropping not only Daytime Jeopardy! but also Weekend Jeopardy!).

Surprisingly, FOX signed off early tonight after Thursday Night Football, around 11:05 PM Eastern even though FOX gives them until 11:30 with no overrun. WNYW news began at 11:13, and I imagine everyone else on the East Coast simply started their newscasts early as well. On the West Coast, KTTV Los Angeles and KTVU San Francisco both air local "Sports Wrap" shows after the games, which I imagine started early but will still run to the end of their listed time slots, but I wonder what happens in this situation for West Coast FOX stations that have syndies or FOX primetime reruns scheduled for after the game. Would they start those early, or just run some kind of filler until then?

Tomorrow college football is returning to somewhat normal with ABC having 3 games, and CBS only having a late afternoon game. Fox has 2 afternoon games and goes into game 4 of the World Series at 7 PM ET. NBC has soccer, rugby, and figure skating, and no college football this weekenf.

As of 6:30 Eastern, CBS's SEC game is just finishing up the third quarter, so tonight's broadcast with postgame will very likely overrun to 7:30 once again.

ABC's College Football game overran to 11:18 Eastern.

Game 4 of the World Series once again overran over an hour, to 12:09 AM. WNYW's news began at 12:14. Game 3 on Friday overran to about 12:25. Why does FOX keep giving only three hours of their schedule to the games when all of them last at least four? They should know the World Series games take considerably longer than regular season games. The overrun situations with the World Series are even worse than with the SEC on CBS.

Houston won this game, bringing it to 2-2, which means Game 6 will be happening on Tuesday, which means Wheel of Fortune will be pre-empted in Baltimore, Kansas City, New Orleans, Denver, and also Hawaii if the game runs past midnight Eastern Time. Unfortunately, Tuesday's episode of WOF features a kindergarten teacher from Baltimore.

Did you see this episode the other day wheel rob? https://alt1037dfw.radio.com/blogs/alt-producer/wheel-fortune-contestants-struggle-solve-easy-puzzle .

When I turned on "Weekend Edition" Trump was talking. NPR did its own analysis before he was finished. I heard someone mention that he did something terrible on live TV (I think it was something about giving away more details than should have been made public) about exactly what took place when they were going after the ISIS leader) so apparently the networks were covering this. Or maybe not. We live in an era where there are cable channels for this sort of thing.

San Francisco TV Stations may have pre-empted the Trump Announcement due to local wildfires evacuations.

I got that episode where I am since I watch locally on WABC, which has not pre-empted the show at all so far this season, and probably won't until Christmas, or Black Friday if College Football overruns. I guess it's good for these contestants that many didn't or couldn't watch them because of the World Series. Unlike other game shows, Wheel usually doesn't strategically shuffle around episodes based on how good they are to air on certain days of the week.

Tonight's MNF is Dolphins @ Steelers. Both teams' ABC stations will be airing it.

WPLG Miami begins pregame at 7:30, pre-empting Jeopardy! Surprisingly, there is no make-good listed for the show, even though the last time WPLG pre-empted it (for the Draft back in April), they bumped it to its .2 MeTV sub. They won't be able to air the week on a delay from Tue-Sat because WPLG does not air the Saturday editions of Jeopardy! or Wheel of Fortune at all during College Football season. Kimmel is delayed to 12:07 AM (probably later if there's overrun), and Nightline is skipped. Dancing with the Stars will air at 1:37, replacing an infomercial, Right This Minute, and most of ABC World News Now. The Good Doctor (a rerun of the Season 3 premiere) will air Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at 2:30 AM, replacing two-thirds of WNN.

WTAE Pittsburgh is airing a 90-minute pregame show titled "Black and Gold Primetime" from 6:30-8:00, pre-empting ABC World News Tonight, Inside Edition, and Entertainment Tonight. None of the three are airing at all tonight. Kimmel is delayed 15 minutes to 11:50 PM, followed by delayed Nightline at 12:52 AM, and DWTS at 1:22. The latter two replace The Real at 1:07, an informercial at 2:07, a repeat of World News Tonight at 2:37, and part of ABC World News Now. Good Doctor will air Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at 1:07, pre-empting The Real a second day.

Right they could not seem to get the easy puzzle correct until like the last possible letter.

It didn't help that they didn't tell the contestants that only vowels were left when they were supposed to. They waited until people actually started calling the vowels to give the signal.
