That was national. So was the prior Auburn-Florida game. CBS had all sports coverage from 12:30-6:00 Eastern today.
The NBA game on ABC overran to 11:09 Eastern. WABC news began at 11:11.
KGO San Francisco changed their post-sports Saturday lineup, which now puts Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune in their proper order and are now padded by localish so that they are unlikely to be pre-empted if the game overruns.

KABC Los Angeles has their own postgame show, but they only have one for basketball, compared to KGO's which covers all sporting events. During College Football season, the game show weekend runs started immediately after the game, which often meant Jeopardy! got JIP'd. The game show hour is now an hour later because KABC's show, Slam Dunk Saturday, is an hour long, and it still runs for an hour even if the game overruns, so tonight's edition ran until about 9:11 Pacific.
Strangely, KABC swapped J!/WOF on Saturdays effective this weekend, with WOF first instead of second. Tonight's episode/rerun got JIP'd in the middle of Round 3, about halfway through the show. This now means WOF will be the show threatened by overrun, while J! was in that spot on CFB days. No idea why they decided to switch them. Some stations do schedule J! with caution to avoid overrun JIPs, but KABC had no problem with it happening the past several weeks (even affecting a new episode at least once).

As of right now my COX Program Guide still shows Inside Edition and ET listed for 7PM/7:30PM on Tuesday for WFSB.
Tonight's FOX's primetime lineup is being blown out for an NFL Playoff game. Then FOX is premiring a new show "9-1-1 Lonestar" a spin-off of the popular 9-1-1 at 10PM Eastern, which according to my COX Program Guide is airing for 90 minutes. That sends the FOX 61 News at 10 over to CW 20 which is a regular occurance, but its usually because of sports programming from FOX.
I'm referring to two Tuesdays from now, 1/28, not this Tuesday. My Xfinity app shows OS on that day and IE/ET gone, but things are normal this Tuesday 1/21.

How come this Impeachment Programming is not listed on the program guide? It's been known since last week that it would be starting Tuesday the 21st and that would be plenty of time to update the program guide. Looking at my program guide it's only listed for Channel 33 CNN and Channel 45 MSNBC.
Maybe because the networks didn't know for sure how long it would last, or if something would suddenly come up shortly before 1:00, or if something would be forced to cancel it and let the networks return to programming. Everything about this matter is totally unpredictable. I've seen stations put out announcements saying "We will be pre-empting X due to the impeachment", then minutes later say "Never mind; we WILL be airing X but will be pre-empting Y".
Last night at 7:00 was the Massachusetts State of the Commonwealth address. The Springfield market did not carry it on any of the local stations, but did host it for online streaming. Boston carried it on the Big Four plus indie WHDH, but slotting varied.
WCVB (ABC) slotted it from 7-8, pre-empting a local newscast and long-running local program "Chronicle", although it also airs an hour early at 6:30 on 5.2 MeTV.
WBTS (NBC) also slotted it for a full hour, pre-empting a local newscast and Access Hollywood with no make-good.
WFXT (FOX) gave it a full hour as well, bumping Entertainment Tonight and TMZ to 11:35 PM and 12:05 AM, replacing TMZ Live.

It looks like the WLWT MeTV Subchannel is airing the Impeachment Trial, because I checked and they are airing it. All of the MeTV programming were still listed on the guide.

I imagine all of the Big Three affiliates in Vegas pre-empted programming for coverage of the Fashion Show Mall Shooting, which happened around 6:15 PM Pacific last night. One fan in the Wheel of Fortune Facebook group said that only Rounds 2 and 3 of last night's episode aired on KLAS/CBS; it was JIP'd around 7:38 and then news cut in again about 10 minutes later through the rest of the show and possibly primetime.
As for today's impeachment coverage, ABC officially signed off at 4:00 PM Eastern. CBS continued until at least 5:00, but some stations switched to programming or local news before then. WCBS New York aired the coverage until 5:00, but WFSB Hartford switched to local news by 4:30. For the NBC affiliates, it was the opposite. WNBC New York cut away for local news at 4:00, while WVIT Hartford aired the national coverage until 5:00. All three networks were likely officially over by then. No coverage in the 7 PM hour tonight that I could find.
However, WNBC once again aired an extra half hour of local news at 7:00 with Access Hollywood sliding back to 7:30 and pre-empting All Access, despite Chuck Scarborough's prompt still saying "All Access is next".

It happened shortly after 5 PM, so the stations should have already been on local news whenever they covered it.
ABC affiliate KATV in Little Rock pre-empted Wheel of Fortune last night with the Landers Award Ceremony, an award for high school football in Arkansas. It is broadcast live every year on a Wednesday in January at 6:30 PM Central. WOF is bumped to 12:07 AM in a Paid Programming slot.
The WLWT MeTV Subchannel is airing the Impeachment Trial again. Yeah, I'm thinking all MeTV Subchannels owned by Hearst Television are carrying this. For what I seen, WCVB, WESH and WMTW are airing it.
Did CBS and ABC dump coverage of the Impeachment Trial today or was it up to the local stations? I know I happened to be flipping channels around 10 Minutes to 4 and WFSB (CBS) had Dr. Oz as normal and WTNH (ABC) had Dr. Phil as normal, while the Impeachment Trial continued on WVIT (NBC O&O)
