They preempted that for this?

All three networks in NYC had impeachment coverage when I checked around 3:10. No Dr. Phil on WCBS, Ellen on WNBC, or General Hospital on WABC (they air it at 3 instead of 2). Rachael Ray at 2 was moved to 7.2 Live Well Network as always. Seems ABC and CBS ended it around 3:30.

WNBC anchor Rani Novini confirmed on Twitter that WNBC will be airing local news at 7:00 and Access Hollywood at 7:30 during all days with impeachment coverage, but will return to normal when it's over with. They finally began properly mentioning the next show as Access Hollywood during the sign-off instead of All Access, although listings of course still have the latter.

WKRN Nashville (ABC) once again pre-empted Wheel of Fortune last night with a news special titled "Nashville 2020: The Price of Growth". WOF was bumped to 12:07 AM, with Mel Robbins and Extra sliding back half an hour to 12:37 and 1:07, the latter replacing RightThisMinute.

I'm glad that the current impeachment coverage starts at 1PM EST.I can get my Drew The price Is Right fix at 11AM...........

Good for the East Coast, although it does mean the show is guaranteed to be pre-empted in the Pacific Time Zone where it starts exactly at that time, along with Salt Lake City and Albuquerque, whose CBS affiliates air it at 11 AM Mountain Time (the rest of MST airs it at 9 or 10 AM). Hawaii gets it at 10 AM local time/3 PM ET, so they get pre-empted more often than not.

Today's coverage lasted until 4:00 Eastern on ABC. NBC affiliates were allowed to switch to programming or news at 4:00, which many did while the national coverage took a "brief pause" for the affiliates to do so. CBS continued until 4:30. WCBS New York aired all of it, so the first episode of Judge Judy was pre-empted while the second was not. WFSB Hartford switched to local news at 4:00.

What happened this morning? I'll ask the question about TV, but "Wait! Wait!" wasn't on NPR. The trial was.

The Big 3 pre-empted their E/I programming 10AM-Noon Eastern. Here in Hartford the CBS and ABC affiliates aired infomercials as scheduled at Noon, while the NBC O&O aired E/I programming at Noon as scheduled.

Kobe vs. Trump

With the passing of Kobe Bryant, how do you think networks (broadcast and cable) will cover Kobe's funeral and the Impeachment trial?

Kobe's funeral guest list may be as big as the Muhammad Ali funeral, maybe bigger. We may even hear words of comfort speeches from the remainder of "NBA's Mount Rushmore" (Michael Jordan, Lebron James, Shaquille O'Neal), and of course some R&B and Gospel artists will have some great musical tributes.

Who knows...the funeral might outdraw the Impeachment trial for viewers...

This...can’t be serious.

ABC and ESPN produced an hour-long special on Kobe's legacy titled "Kobe Bryant: Death of a Legend". It was scheduled on both networks at 10:00 PM Eastern tonight, replacing one of two scheduled reruns of Shark Tank on ABC.

I was talking about this week not yesterday if the Funeral is this week. Also showing Tennis on ESPN2. Maybe TNT can show NBATV coverage. No Media Day coverage on any of the ÈSPN channels tonight.

The Local Los Angeles TV stations and Cable Sports outlets like NBA TV, ESPN, FS1, CBS Sports and NBC Sports National Edition will go wall to wall with the fallout of Kobe Bryant and one of his kids death given that Bryant was a huge name in the 2000's for NBA fans and won championships for the Lakers when Staples Center opened.

I don't know about how Cable News/talk outlets will handle Kobe Bryant's death though given that they are committed to airing primaries and Impeachement.

It was a big day in Sports yesterday for the LA DigiNet Channels: Live Well carried the ABC side of The Pro Bowl; The Finals of The U.S. Figure Skating Championships ended up on Cozi. Fox cleared the decks over at My 13 for the Michigan State-Minnesota College Basketball game. Also, FS1 stayed with their live coverage of PBA Bowling and Big East Basketball, keeping views up to date with Screen Crawls.
