They preempted that for this?

WNBA on ABC overran to 5:08 PM Eastern. Stations like WABC and WPVI that scheduled newscasts at 5:00 began them at 5:11. On WFTV in Orlando, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! Weekend were scheduled at 5:00 and 5:30. Keeping with the growing trend of stations putting Wheel before J! if scheduling them after a sporting event even if they normally air J! first (since many would rather cut off the first round of Wheel than the first few questions on J!), Wheel was JIP'd around 5:09 during the break between Rounds 1 and 2.

Is ABC really going to preempt General Hospital for astros twins on Tuesday and marlins cubs on Wednesday?

Yes it appears that way. Those are the only two games on ABC.

The first round is best 2 out of 3 so Thursday there may be another game on ABC

Maybe yes, maybe no. Looks like they'll try to avoid it if they can:

Yankees at Cleveland (if necessary), time TBD, ESPN Family of Networks

Astros at Twins (if necessary), time TBD, ESPN Family of Networks

Why would ABC be carrying a game on the first day, when only four games are scheduled, if the plan is to use it after the second day only if no other option is available? Seems to me that ABC would get games all four days no matter how many of the series are still alive, while ESPN2, which is not part of the first-day lineup, would be the one left out after the second day if the AL series all end in two-game sweeps. "ESPN family of networks" includes ABC, remember. If it didn't, then ESPNU or ESPNNews would be getting games instead.

TBS should get Reds/Braves so they can be live at Turner Field with Chip Carey instead Rich Walz and Joe Simpson/Jeff Francour instead of Jimmy Rollins.

Benetti do White Sox and add Stone to Broadcast. Also ESPN has Brinkley,Berman,Todd Walker,Connors,Ryan Howard and so on to if needed.

On Zap2It, WLS (ABC O&O) in Chicago has no airings of Jeopardy! listed at all between Mondays 9/28 and 10/5. Programming pre-empted by the games are local program Windy City Live, GH, Inside Edition, and J!. The second run of J! airs at 3:06 AM and IE repeats after it at 3:36. So I imagine either the first-run J! will replace the second run overnight for Tue-Fri, or they will move it to 7.2 Localish. Titan still has the 3:06 J!'s listed as reruns and the normal Localish programming.

TBS only has one series and it’s an AL series.

This is what Philly saw on WCAU: https://www.clippituser.tv/c/kevrdm
I don't know how to explain the clock, but when I looked at your video and the video of the entire sketch

https://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-...ce-preps-for-911-commission-cold-open/2860881

it does appear to have been joined at about 4:45, which is consistent with the show being 5 minutes late starting. I don't know how long it takes for them to say the following program was recorded at a later time and then "Ten seconds!" and "FIVE SECONDS!"

And yet after a six-minute sketch and the opening credits, the clock says less than five minutes have passed.

Stanley Cup went into Overtime. ... KYMA 11 in Yuma, AZ didn't have any of their post-game programming listed. They JIP'd Dr. Phil at 8:00 (which should have already aired unaffected at 4:00), then aired a Dateline NBC rerun at 9:00. Wheel, which they almost-always air after local news following sporting events, wasn't aired at all (unless maybe they moved it to 4:30, which they have done in the past).

Titan updated. On Stanley Cup days, Wheel moves early to 4:00 (pairing it with Jeopardy! at 3:30), NBC Nightly News airs at 4:30, and Phil moves to 8:00 after the game. Zap2It still has Phil at 4:00, no Wheel or NBC Nightly News anywhere, and 8-9 as "TBA".

A one-hour special on the Oregon wildfires aired in three of the four Oregon markets from 7-8 Pacific, on all of the Sinclair-owned Oregon Big Three affiliates in the state. The following programs were pre-empted on the following stations:

KATU ABC 2 Portland: Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune bumped to 1:06 and 1:36 AM, replacing Dr. Oz.

KTVL CBS 10 Medford: Two episodes of Family Feud (the only two runs in the market) pre-empted entirely.

KVAL CBS 13 Eugene: Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune pre-empted entirely.

KMTR NBC 16 Eugene: Delayed to 9:00 due to the Stanley Cup. The regular 7:00 hour shows, Big Bang Theory x 2, were moved to 8:00 after the game, with the first presumably JIP'd in the case of overrun.

WABC is moving Rachael Ray to 7.2 Localish all this week due to baseball, though the usual programs are still listed. It's the only syndie affected by the games.

MLB Playoffs were scheduled to end at 5:00 Eastern on ABC, but it ran until 6:00. For markets that have all local news from 5-6:30, this didn't result in local newscasts or ABC World News sliding back past 7:00 from what I'm seeing.
