In terms of coverage, CBS signed off first at 6 ET (when it comes to SRs, they like to sign off first) while ABC & NBC filled the 6-6:30 half hour slot before World News Tonight & Nightly News with additional coverage preempting local news for most, unless any affiliates decided to step away at 6.

Here in Phoenix, in addition to the Big 4 airing network news coverage including KSAZ (FOX O&O) simulcast a portion of FNC's The Five when the Trump news broke, sister independent station to CBS affiliate KPHO, KTVK, broke into programming to air local coverage. In terms of NYC, wouldn't have been surprised if at least WABC was just showing network coverage considering David Muir did interview during the 6-6:30 portion of ABC's coverage one of ch. 7's reporters outside the courthouse, Josh Einenger, as well as seeing YouTube vids on their channel taking clips from ABC News.
 
Fmr. President Trump just held a presser at Trump Tower & only NBC had coverage which was optional for affiliates to carry, KPNX here in Phoenix did, although they didn't really carry much of his comments largely just monitoring it while having Lester Holt doing a panel discussion.
 
Yesterday my locals (Mankato, MN) only CBS interrupted at 4 central until 5. Gray Communications owns all the locals in Mankato (CBS, Fox, NBC, CW+) so only CBS was interrupted.
 
Today was the state troopers funeral. The 4 local news stations here in Hartford/New Haven blew out their programming beginning at 10AM to air it live. WFSB even blew out their 12:30PM Newscast that airs on sister station The Wax - WWAX-LD 27.1/3.4 instead they aired special segments from their Sunday Morning newscasts such as Science Sunday and Lost and Pound.
 
People are carping about Jeopardy! being pre-empted in the markets where it airs at 7 (ET). First, I couldn't care less if Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune ended once and for all--I can't stand either one of them. The conviction of a former President who is running again and has been convicted for 34 felonies is far more important because it impacts the election and raises questions about whether said former President will be able to govern if he is re-elected. That is more important than who the Jeopardy! champion is or what Vanna is wearing.
 
NBC affiliate WDIV will preempting their NBC primetime program tonight for the Michigan Central Station Concert grand reopening. They are Detroit acts including Diana Ross, Big Sean, Jack White, and others along with national acts like Jelly Roll and others. This concert is going to be fantastic!!!

Why would I not be surprised to see Jelly Roll duetting with all three of the artists you name? He's certainly spreading himself, um, thin these days.
 
Not really surprised if all of the sports channel outlets bottom line scores might be switching to a major breaking sports news for a least tonight and tomorrow night about teams winning the title. The most recent major breaking sports news that appeared before was the Pistons snapped a franchise high 28-game losing streak before the start of 2024. The Pistons would end up finished with another worst record in the NBA at 14-68.

I would like to see the Boston Celtics winning its 18th title and the Florida Panthers winning its first-ever Stanley Cup title appear in a breaking news.

Also we could see nearly TV outlets in Boston and Miami to likely to interrupt their programming for the next couple of days. For be on a lookout.
 
WSBK TV 38 in Boston is airing The Late Show With Stephen Colbert tonight simulcasting with the main WBZ channel and replacing back-to-back episodes of Seinfeld. I just don't get why they are doing that? Does it have something to do with the leasing contract agreement?

Also, this Friday, the main WBZ channel is airing a special hour-long PAA which means both Wheel and J! will air at its regular times on WBZ's sister channel WSBK replacing back-to-back episodes of TBBT but the real chances are that my Bell Fiber Op might opt to switch WSBK over to CTV 2 Atlantic to simsub TBBT in place of the former.

A bit late for a reply, but a broken water pipe in the central office complex shared by CenturyLink/Lumen and AT&T killed electric power distribution between floors of the building. Since power couldn't get to the battery banks, services started dying off as the battery banks were depleted. Eventually, rental generators were connected to the battery banks using cables run up the stairways. Local POTS/DSL, Lumen fiber, AT&T FIrstNet, and interconnects with some of the independent telcos and cell companies were all affected at one point or another. A grand old CF.
