They're licensed to Enterprise, but they don't know Enterprise.

If I may humbly interject without incurring your wrath chiro and make the point that Fred and John certainly did not learn responsible broadcasting from Magic nor from Styles but they are "Old Guard KMXers". The fact that WOOF has the knowledge and wherewithal to have hired them when they became available is a compliment to the powers that be at WOOF Radio. And I concur that both did their job with the usual expected level of professionalism as did the entire staff at WOOF. Compliments to Mr. Daniels as well.

The Stokes "report" on the coverage seems in least intended to slam AP's former employer, Magic. Did the listener sending the complaint to Stokes not realize they have other channels available on their radio if they hit the button labeled "scan"? Further, is the Enterprise resident that sent the report to Stokes unaware that they have a radio station located at 100 N. Main which is quite clear on Hwy 84 in Wicksburg? While I'm certainly not taking up for Magic in any way, shape or form this smells of free publicity for AP; publicity which according to some of the comments on the sight seem to have backfired.

Spinning, for some it just makes them dizzy.

you know when lives are at steak, whats it going to hurt, to give people a fair warning

:D

Meh. At least SOME stations were doing some weather updates. Any time severe weather rumbles through my little slice of hel...er, Mississippi, the three local stations usually wind up going off the air because they're all colocated with no backup power. Not that there's anyone at any of them outside of morning drive to break-in to begin with.

No one here breaks in for severe weather beyond the automated EAS alerts... Not even the big class C station in the other town. Half the time the one Big Network Station we can get via antenna here doesn't bother breaking in with tornado warnings for my county even though we're in the viewing area.

Just hit the 'scan' button and be done with it... And remember their lack of community focus next time bad weather rolls through.

Actually, with the low sample rate, one diary makes a HUGE impact. Case in point, the afternoon numbers a couple books back. One listener, one book, one wild daypart at Number one. Station had zip, zero, nada all other dayparts and everyone knew it was crap. But, Arbitron doesnt throw out statistical abnormalties anymore.

NO WAY! You mean Arb finally admits that they are statistically ABBEY NORMAL? (Wonder if their eyes bug out too?) Could they also possibly "roll in the hay" or do they "walk this way"? Do you all hear the sounds of stud horses neying (SP) at the mention of their name?

For you youngster, please reference Mel Brooks movies.......

Nooooo, Frau Blücher, they didn’t admit it. Now, you get the blonde, I’ll get the one in the turban. ;D
(at this point boys and girls Stewy is searching his keyboard frantically for the umlaut, two dots above the "u")
