Not only does he look strange on the new Spot currently airing, he sounds like he has a Cold.

Given that his voice, Thurl Ravenscroft, passed away recently, he's never going to sound the same again ...

What's he doing on that new spot?

ixnay

Ixnay, Onay, Umday, He looks like a New Lean 'Transformer' type Tiger, and it sounds like he is saying "They're Great", but I'm not sure that's it?

Ravenscroft, bless his "grrrrreat" heart, hadn't voiced Tony for several years due to illness. Kelloggs recently brought back Tony in another attempt to be hip for the kids...though the "voice" sounds computer enhanced...and a mixture of Godzilla and Rod Stewart.

Painful to listen to.

You'reee Great!

I'm somewhat sure they continued to use his one Famous Phrase that pays, until "Godzilla vs Rod Stewart". Not a bad observation, thanks!

I still haven't seen/heard this latest ad, but now I can't wait!
The more recent ads definitely had Ravenscroft's voice, but only saying 'They'rre Grrreat!' Presumably, they were going to continue using a 'digital library' of Ravenscroft's old dialogue-something like Warner Brothrs has, featuring every syllable Mel Blanc uttered in a cartoon.

I think Frosted Flakes might be History?

I just saw the new Commercial on Tape. It's for Whole Grain "Tiger Power", and what the new Tiger is saying, and get ready for this one... "Gr-r-reat For Growth"

If Days Of Our Lives can continue using Macdonald Carey's
voice saying, "Like sands through the hourglass, so are the
days of our lives," then why not use Ravenscroft's voice
saying, "They'rre GRRREAT!"? It is the most fitting tribute
anyone could pay him.
