Michael Spears had someone doing traffic on 1080 using the name "Ray Hubbard Jr."

Irving Harrigan

And Irving Harrigan as well as many of the other old names of 1960s KLIF jocks.

Bruce Wayne patrolled the skies for KFI in Los Angeles for years ... "KF Eye in the Sky" ... until he died in a plane crash in Fullerton in 1986.

Which U -Turn? There were tow different ones. One went to SA.
My personal favorite traffic reporter names were:
Kent Seawell, Nick Ador, Denton Fenders, J.Walker, Marge Lane.

In the 80s, some of the Accu Weather people doing the Dallas WX would pronounce the KRLD call letters as Kay-Earl-Dee. One would just shorten it to Curl-Dee. When Accu Weather was on listeners thought they were tuned to another station.

I believe there was a "Marva D. Love" hovering around for KRLD about the same time as "Ray"...

The one that made a left turn onto a one-way street.

Re: What annoys me?

Howzabout flipping through the dial and actually hearing someone use the name "Bingo"? Do you think that would be annoying to me?

How many Bingo's do any of you really know? How many of you have actually heard anyone use that moniker?

Back off my name, man... you know who you are. Just because I'm not on air now doesn't mean that I might not be soon.
______________

Oh! Well one turn deserves another if it was their turn, of course they could lose a turn and what fun would that be?

It was you! Wasn't it? C'mon, admit it... Tell the truth. I'll know if your lying....

Just kidding... I have a good idea as to who it was.

What are the ethics surrounding names, though? Is it a first come, first served thing? Or is there a common use thing?
______________
