Thinking of adding Special D Home Alone this late spring

The song is dated for Dance, but would be new to CHR listeners........ Its kinda got that Hand Up Techno Cascada sound to it... Good fun video too,, go to youtube and watch it... Its more of a Summer Anthem than a Winter song, but I think they young girl would love it, and the guys would catch on.

Another rather dated song im thinking of adding, but am really on the fence about is groove Covergage-Holly Virgin.... It may be just a bit too dated, I think its for 2005, while the Special D Home Alone reacord is only about a year old.... Go to you tube and check out both videos... Hey if Basshunter and September did well for us, these songs have similar beats... Maybe Summer is the best time to spring dance out to CHR... I added September in oct 07, but had almost dropped it, then it caught fire around May or June, and I was testing their newer single and had to switch back. These Videos are a little on the Euro side, but so was Basshunter and Cascada,,,, DHT and September to a point.

Clubber, the station you need to be checking out ASAP is Puls Radio. It's a net-only station out of France that plays all the big Hands Up records, as well as some crossover Trance and House.
The whole Hands Up sound is very cheesy, but Puls Radio makes it sound good. They repeat their biggest hits often enough for you to get accustomed to them as if they were genuine hits (which some of them are, especially in the German and Austrian clubs). I don't know if it's a big guilty pleasure of mine, or if I just really (gasp1) like it :D

MWC - Don't go getting your dance adds taken away from you. Pick proven songs for ads. CHR is suppose to pick the best of the formats. I'd be careful picking songs that may have non-US appeal. There are great dance-only songs out right now you could be testing. Take a look at our playlist. There's a lot of x-over material there.

Clubber is doing something that many great CHR programmers did in the past - they thought outside the box. They actively looked for records themselves. If he says the Cascada and Euro sounding records do well with his audience, he probably knows what he's talking about. He plans on testing out records that he thinks might sound good on his station, the same type of records that do well on stations like Z-103.5 Toronto

Yeah another one of those happy dance songs,,, not hands up,,,, but Peter Prestas-Totally hooked that samples bostons more than a feeling did great for us back in FEB through April of 08.... I love the song infinity 2008 from guru josh,,, but out audience said otherwise.... Not every one in every market is gonna like the same kind of dance, nor will they like a song or hate a song just because its dance, its either they like it or they dont... ive been adding alot more Rock lately as well to fill our Rock Void and our TSL has risin from it... I dont play as much Rap as COMP WNOU and WZKF,,, and am not conservative like the other comp WMGI.... All those stations are audible here in the car, but office and home radios is hit or miss unless your up really high,,, You cant get any Rock stations here except our Tripple A,, which is more like Rock AC,,, and the interest in hip hop has declined alot, not just with our 25 plus, but kids are wanting to here more Rock,,, They call in during our mixshows to get dance song IDs to download,,, and yeah,, they still love britney and lady gaga,,, katy perry ECT..... more Pure Pop and less hard rap makes it easier to add dance and rock songs,,, they just have to be scheduled and clocked right....

What do you guys think about adding DJ Antoin- Underneath..... Kinda pop Friendly,,, not to techno sounding,,, could even playing during the 9 to 5 hrs,....

I really like DJ Antoine songs. I liked his old hit This Time as well, but I would say the new one is very pop friendly

I say go for it! It's very accessible. Also, you said you've been adding more Rock songs, and this tune starts out like a Pop/Rock smash.
Let us know how it turns out for ya
