ThinkProgress: Air America To Declare Bankruptcy

Another month, another gloat-effort by O'Reilly who has basically declared to his viewers the office furniture is up for sale as the lights get turned off. Imagine him jumping the gun on this story. Alan Colmes was on to throw a few shots claiming while he did "entertaining" radio, AAR did not. Gallagher was on to tell us how much he is loved by liberal and conservative callers alike. Yeah.

I wonder how many times Fox viewers will see O'Reilly do the same story on Air America going off the air before they realize he's a blowhard.

Al Franken: AAR Not Declaring Bankruptcy

Franken started his show today by "gloating" that AAR is not declaring bankruptcy, and spent a few minutes sticking it to O'Reilly.

I guess we can consider the Think Progress report as unfounded after all.

Tell me Brian Baloney isn't pissed off because they got duped by ThinkProgress!

After all the nonsense he has posted about AAR, now he gets pissed off because he reposted stuff from another blog and seemed to get it wrong! Has Baloney ever retracted anything HE got wrong?

Also whines that Drudge doesn't link to conservative bloggers (namely him). Guess he doesn't read Drudge, because I've seen plenty of links to conservobloggers on his site.

Funniest thing I ever read over there! Guess it's back to sticking pins in voodoo dolls for THEEEE Radio Neutralizer!

I have been considering the idea of launching my own parody of The Unequalizer, just to let him have a new target - the guy who asks the questions he never answers. I have occasionally replied to him on his own site when I have oodles of free time, and the replies are always a mix of Shiny Keys distractions and quick subject changes, claims that are disproven by his own earlier articles, and the usual 'persecution complex' that a lot of people of his type have in portraying themselves as the victim of a grand liberal conspiracy against them.

I'll admit deflating his nonsense is awfully fun....

Franken: Air America Not Filing For Bankruptcy Today
Inside Radio reports:

Despite reports the liberal talk network would file for bankruptcy protection by week’s end — that apparently isn’t happening. Franken tells listeners “we’re not in Chapter 11″ and pokes at conservative talk hosts and websites for getting it wrong with quips like “who’s gloating now Bill O’Reilly?” We still believe it’s a tough economic situation at the libnet — and several staffers have been laid-off.

On Wednesday, ThinkProgress reported “Air America Radio will announce a major restructuring on Friday, which is expected to include a bankruptcy filing.” We made a judgment that our sources were knowledgeable and reliable. We regret the error.

We wish Air America a long and successful future.

Hmmm... they will regret the blow to their credibility more.
