Third Highest Rated Super Bowl

The B&C article claims that CBS ran an original "60 Minutes" show last night. Not true. CBS NEVER runs an original show opposite the self-proclaimed "Super" Bowl. Last night they ran repeats of three profiles of prominent women: Anna Wintour, Meryl Streep and Dolly Parton.

I was surprised that HBO ran a new episode of Luck, and Showtime ran a new episode of Shameless, up against the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl XLVI was the third highest behind last years Packers vs. Steelers and the Super Bowl in 1987.

As for The Voice it did much better up 27% from last years Glee Super Bowl lead-in.

Super Bowl XLVI Ranks As Third-Highest Rated ... B&C Article

Update from 3:15 PM EST: B&C now says that SB XLVI was the highest-rated TV show of all time, at 111.3 million viewers - slightly ahead of last year's Super Bowl. The percentages are slightly lower, but the number of viewers is higher.

CBS, Fox, and ABC had ratings of just over 2% - combined!
