Jack-FM is down in phase 2, KTFM sinks to a .4 12 plus, even lower 25-54. Wonder what Landis will do next?

Hell to the NO it's not San Antonio Life!!!

KTFM will not survive. The station sounds horrible!! KTFM lost it's connection to the community long ago. But I know Landis and the boys are probably thinking that the call letters are the problem so my guess is that you'll hear 94.1 go with a different name to try and re-event themselves. WAKE UP BMP!!...it's not the call letters, it's the person running the show with lack of knowledge of SA.

It's ashame BMP Radio owns the amount of stations in SA and unable to be a real competitor. My guess is that BMP must have one hell of sales staff over there.

BMP seems to be trying to run KTSA into the ground, too.

Kevin Wall has made the PM drive daypart unlistenable. He usually discusses issues from yesterday's morning newspaper. If he wasn't taking live callers, I'd suspect he was voice-tracking his monologues and FedExing his show to the station. I don't do Hannity or Pags, so my radio seems to end up on ESPN 1250 when Kevin Wall is on 550.

Trey Ware spends most mornings chasing whatever is the latest Federal or church/state issue. Now he has an extra hour each day to do that. My wife made me switch the clock radio away from KTSA because the morning show is so devoid of personality. I have to give Trey some credit for devoting significant air time to the mayoral election. Up the dial on WOAI, you won't hear much about local politics outside of the news.

I think ktfm should go back to old school music, at least that had good ratings

I gave up on KTFM a long time ago.

Old school music is a fad. The listeners lose interest. Besides you need to find the available audience first and then figure out how you're going to get them to listen everyday. Music by itself doesn't do it.

KTFM could not sound worse. Jack is beyond lame. What a waste of two decent signals. Whatever is being spent on programming is way too much. Has there ever been a time when Radio in general has sounded worse in San Antonio?

 I'd hate for y'all to see what's on my Itunes playlist. :p

But yeah, I've been told I have a bad taste in music. The three stations I actually enjoy listening to in sequential order in San Antonio are KZEP, KTFM, and Jack. :D

But in Austin, I like 94.9, 101x, and Bob FM.

94.9 in Austin? You mean 94.7?

I'll say this before and I'll say it again, San Antonio's FM dial, for the most part, sucks! KTFM is a total disaster, I never liked Mix, KJ and Y100 have such outdated playlists and are behind on the new music (compare Y100 to its sister station 93Q in Houston and it's like night and day), Magic still thinks it's 1999...eh 2004ish, and don't get me started about the mess of spanish lpfm translators! What's the use of having a Texas country station if you can't hear it?!? Why is Univision running a KISS copycat? The ony thing I listen to when I'm down there is KONO, Trinity and SAC's stations, and KHAL. Yeah, I have gone to adult standards, what does that tell you about the state of SA's stations?

Come on, San Antonio is no longer a "one horse town." The city is growing and growing, up the talent from the bottom of the barrel on the airwaves. Face it SA, you are becomming a big city, you're bigger than Dallas for crying out loud! (Notice I didn't say D/FW, I am only comparing SA to Dallas ONLY)

Meanwhile, I wait for active rock in Houston.

SDH483...you are right. I can't even listen to KONO. Yawn. SA radio has never sounded worse.

JACK-FM = Novelty OVER (would have put KZEP out of biz if it was still KROK)
KTFM = Woody's back, and no one cares. Station is dead.

I don't understand why someone with a decent stick doesn't go after KISS? They are hurting right now. Billing is down, and numbers are softening (especially after 10am)

SA radio is a SAD SAD place. You can't blame BIG corp radio because it seems like the WANNA be corp radio is the biggest f'up's.

OUT...

KTFM is a powerhouse!!! ;D Here's what I don't understand..BMP is packed full of underachieving stations. Especially JACK and KTFM. You got a guy that knows nothing about this market in charge of programming. You have the potential to do much better with JACK and KTFM and yet, they just sit there. OLDSKOOLFOOL, you are right on target with your comments.

someone is listening to KONO ...#1 25-54 and #1 12 plus Winter book!

Hey, I'm listening to KONO! I just with I could get the FM signal up here in Austin.

(signed) Mike Nassour, the last person listening to music on AM in Texas! ;D
