This area needs an active rockstation

Raleigh needs an active rockstation that is not afraid to play the heavy stuff. We need a station like Rock 105.5 in Jacksonville down on the coast http://www.yes.com/#WXQR?log, or Razor 94.7 in Appleton, WI http://www.razor947.com/. Raleigh is the only Top 50 radio market that doesnt have a Active Rock station. WVBZ The Buzz has potential to be an awesome rockstation if they would just get off the National Feed but I dont see that happening anytime soon, and if CC puts one on in Raleigh its going to be a carbon copy of WVBZ. So its time for a local radio company to step up to the plate and flip one on.

Why won't an Active Rocker in the Raleigh area work?  Hell, even if it was Premiere Choice, it would be something, considering 96rock doesn't touch a lot of new rock, such as Deftones, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, etc. I understand 96 is a mainstream rock station, but compared to other mainstream rockers in the US, such as WEBN in Cincinnati, which is CC owned, play said bands.

EDIT: Just checked, and only 23 out of the Top 50 Markets have Active Rock stations (L. A. doesn't even have one)

I'm guessing though that the ones that don't have an Alternative station though, and Raleigh doesn't have either one, which is what I think you mean

Dear God, will you all get hold of yourselves? "Active Rock station?" What year is this, 1986? Next you'll be talking about what track lost its bullet on the back page of Radio and Freaking Records.

Get it through your thick analog head: ROCK RADIO IS DEAD. It's deader than soccer. It's as dead as Lucille Ball, Jim Croce, Harry Chapin and Axl Rose.

"This market needs an active rock station." YOU need a frontal lobotomy, my friend. Though I daresay no one would be able to tell the difference if you got one.
