what happened to this board? it has gone from a fun place to trade jabs about programming, sales, and ratings to now being all about some hasbeen, never was, who spends his life trying to make people remember who he thought he was. Cmon enough already. Someone call the Genius Jim Reith or say that 95X and Krock BOTH suck. Get back to the fun.

I only post once a quarter now.
When the book comes out I'll be back to rub it in your faces again.
Until then,back to work dominating the market, not that it's much of a challenge,but hey it sure beats losing for 10 straight years.
Y'all keep fighting over scraps, and keep arguing about which irrelevent rock station is the best, that's really working out well for you.

This board has atrophied because of one poster who gets more attention here than he ever received in his short-lived radio career, if not his life. Time, reason and common sense are wasted responding to his inane posts. It appears most of the regulars have been turned away by the exchanges. There were (are) some very good posters who, in the past, made this board a daily must-read because of their wit, savvy and knowledge. One can only hope they return. Rox has been carrying the board.

I visit because I enjoy reading about what's going on in Syracuse at X, Q, Clear Channel and Galaxy and the multitude of opinions from people who can write a few declarative sentences and coherent paragraphs about RADIO in Central New York. I'd like to see more of that here. C'mon back you guys.

Thank God you're leaving. Your constant ranting about numbers makes me and everyone else sick. Everyone knows but you...that ratings don't have anything to do with the underlings that work in Radio. The way corporate treats their people dj's on down is disgusting. And it's not just in this market. Big numbers (your favorite and only thing you hang your hat on, loser) help Big corporate make money not the dj's and not the lowly salespeople. Big corporate would rather ruin people's lives and careers, lie and take payola. And sell loser cc.com's. Corporate uses station money for their own personal use. and tosses around non-competes like they own their employees. Get over yourself. And by the way I too believe we came from a fairy tale called the bible and that a talking snake made her do it. There's no possible way we came from the slime in the sea. Loser.

This is a world blog about Syracuse Radio! Tools, getting off on spreading rumors and calling each other baby names is exactly the opposite of fun, intelligent conversation. You democrats have a great way of "spinning" and mistaking reality for the truth. The business needs a nice routing, lets start by showing you morons on this board what the real world does by helping each other. Start there and maybe you can get a couple of listeners, not banking partners, but listeners. Remember that? You dont have it made because i can still hear the sucking sound of Sterns listeners leaving, you just havent seen the bankroll effects of it yet. Get normal, get good, help each other you morons. Youre dragging a lot of people into your ratings tiolet.

I had 10 regular listeners on internet radio (LOL 4 years ago), which equals 4000 in your world. I had plenty-o-listeners on the 97,000 watter (not the 8000 LOL) allocated in Syracuse. Thousands came to USA Sams, Suburban Park, Club 37 and to countless other locations working with Time-Warner and Coke. You? Well you are always answering me here within minutes. Stones and glass houses? You are and imp, here to be an AH.

I'm just here for a serious discussion of Syracuse radio. When that fails to take place, it's all just fun and games until somebody gets hurt. Unless, of course, they deserve it.
