Philadelphia does not have 4 sports stations. Its WIP on AM and FM, and The Fanatic on AM & FM. WIP-AM will eventually be CBS Sports Radio 24/7.
 
and dont worry, the city will be down to 1 pretty soon if the dope who runs the Fanatic continues to sabotage and ruin the station with his completely stupid programming decisions
 
Not likely. What is your area of expertise, other than posting comments on here, and trying to see your little moniker on the crawl during CBS3 pregame?
The "dope" running the fanatic is, well, um....working in an actual radio station.

I have no clue what you are talking about with the CBS3 thing first of all.

secondly, my are of expertise is knowing what good and bad radio is. this clown has ruined the station with his decisions. why dont you cheak the other threads, you clown and you might actually see that a lot of people agree with that.

Call Me Maybe radio (a station that plays Call Me Maybe 24/7, it's THAT BIG of a hit!)

Who needs Talk, Classic Rock, AC, or Country when you could have the above formats? ;D

Actually, Rumba 104.5 will return to 104.5, and Screamo Metal WRFF will move to 105.3. WISX will now be "Real Philly Sports 106", the flagship station to Philadelphia Wings lacrosse team, Philadelphia Soul arena football, Philadelphia Union Soccer, and Drexel Dragons Basketball. WIOQ will pair down it's 200-song playlist down to 1, as WIOQ will play Call Me Maybe something like 400 times a day! WDAS-AM will go brokered ethnic, and get a solid 0.0 in the ratings. WUSL will go to a rockabilly/polka hybrid. WUSL's gonna rock this town by day, and time to polka polka polka all night!

so your area of expertise is only that you listen to radio and offer your opinion of it? Sounds more like you are frustrated because in your mind you're a genius who never, or ever will get the chance to prove it. If you don't like it don't listen. Just because other threads may agree with your rants, only put them in same category as you, and doesn't make them experts either. There are lots of things that go into the decisions that PD's make. First and foremost is revenue. Must have been some other amish terp on the cbs crawl. Word must be out that you're a radio listener, and everyone wants on the bandwagon.

With the Sixers and Flyers now on 97.5, this station won't be going away anytime soon.

But what they should do is make 950 ESPN 24/7 (except for spillover PBP) and put a local morning show on the Fanatic.

Aith the sale of WPEN-AM, we'll soon be down to three sports stations. And, of those, only WIP-FM and WPEN-FM need to produce solid in-market ratings. CBS essentially only needs the new sports format to be cleared in major markets so it can sell network spots. Kind of the way ESPN radio has gotten by in New York up to very recently. And, in fact, the way ESPN Deportes will get by in New York going forward. So Philly only has two local sports stations to support.
 
CBS still has to decide what to do with WPHT when it becomes clear that this "all-local" (all-cheap) talk format isn't going to cut it. More sports? CBS could cut a deal with ESPN to put Deportes on 610 and run the CBS Sports format on 1210 with the Phils. These are both good signals, and with the promotional support from WIP-FM, people would know where to tune for what. What else works on AM except brokered blocks and niche programming?
