THIS CLASSIC TV-BOARD OVER THE YEARS

This board seems to be going stronger than ever. Take a look at some of the last posts on here (from 2005). bpatrick and Bluenoser are about the only names I recognize.

Fewer posts were made in those years and very few people ever bothered to reply to them......they were mostly just for reading I guess.

It looks like a lot of those RETRO schedules made up the early posts. It may be possible to save yourself some time today by just replying to those earlier RETRO posts instead of creating them all over again. What else has gotten better or worse on here?

And did that make it better, or worse? ;D ;D ;D ;D

Seriously, I've been very impressed with the quality of this board, and of its posters. Most message boards don't last nearly this long -- they fade away and ultimately become abandoned, or become ruined by trolls and spammers. This one is still going strong and, amazingly, we still find new things to discuss.

I am very familiar with message boards of different types, and I have experienced the same thing. Interestingly enough, it was actually the Retros that first led to me joining Radio-Info. I had always wondered what the schedules of my local stations were before I was old enough to start watching TV, and I found out myself. I even remember a few people actually getting annoyed about those retros cluttering up the whole board.

I became a member of those message forum in 2003 when it required registration. Otherwise, I posted on radio-info.com since 2001 from the much older style message forum.

I first came on under my real name on July 4, 2003..Because of the changes in April 2006 that partly led to the creation of a new board, for some reason I had to change my username at that time. The TV Board began as a result of all the "retro" schedules..It has really grown over the years..Lots of interesting discussions

I'm a recent member of this board, having come on in June of this year. Most of my post have been about television in general, including some old St. Louis schedules. My oldest one is from 1964. So far my number of posts is 49. I'm on the cusp of 50. 8)

I believe I joined the site in June 2004, but I don't remember precisely. The earliest post of mine I've found in the Internet archive is from June 9, 2004. I was registered under a different name at the time.

From the Internet Archive, here's the login page from June 30, 2004...complete with a plug for Scott Fybush's 2004 Tower Site Calendar!

And from June 10 of that year, one of the message boards...

According to the archived version of the site, the Classic TV board was established July 14, 2004.

This is also the message board I have been regularly active in the longest.
