This Day In TV History: March 24

All of these events happened on March 24, 1989:

(1): $ale of the Century aired its last episode as a U.S. series after 6 years.

(2): Super Password aired its last episode after over 4½ years on the air.

I suppose everyone knows what the third event that happened on the same day and year is but I won't mention it here; it's probably been said on other forum sites.<P ID="signature">______________

Are you referring to the valdez tanker spill? If so, what does that have to do with Television history?

And if not, to what are you referring?

I thought he might have meant Lucille Ball's death, but that was on April 26.
So your guess is as good as mine!

Perhaps he means the first airing of "Peter Pan" with Mary Martin since 1973, which took place on this date?

Otherwise, I echo those questions.

Yes, it was the Valdez disaster. I was going to mention it but decided against. And I never thought about Peter Pan.
