This day in TV History

From The River 105.9's Facebook Page:

Today's fun fact: On this day in SPORTS history, 1968- NBC cut away from the final minutes of a New York Jets-Oakland Raiders game to begin a TV special, Heidi, on schedule. The Raiders came from behind to beat the Jets 43-32. This game has ever since been known as the “Heidi Bowl.”
Was still living in NY-- friends & family there still gripe about that programming blunder. I remember Jets fans heaping the heat on "Heidi" for causing the Raiders comeback (?).

Anybody remember the score when Heidi broke in?

Sorry about that! Reading the Wikipedia article about this game now. Read from the part about 6:20 PM Eastern and on. That's the best part. :)
