OUTSTANDING ARTICLE!!! THANK YOU!!!

I read this article earlier in the month. Great article!! I was just thinking back to the days (80s & 90s) when you could travel around the country and be excited to hear urban stations in another part of the country. No two stations sounded alike! I can hear them now... KMJM and KATZ (STL), K97 and the former Magic 101.1 (Memphis), WENN (Birmingham), WGCI and WBMX (Chicago), WBLS and KISS (NYC).... those were the days! The competing stations within the same market even sounded different than the other. Now, what you hear in NYC you can hear in Dallas and Augusta, GA.

KXOK-FM was one of my favorite stations to listen to on the internet. I listened to it everyday when I worked at AudioNet.com. Mike Love had it going on in the afternoons. I was hurt when it flipped.
