This guy makes less than 800k

No, he doesn't. Read the article again. Between bonuses and stock options, he's probably making closer to a million and a half a year.

he won't be making that much if the Boston cluster keeps dragging the bottom line down!

I guess the 20 other markets that Entercom owns stations in don't matter.

every one of them matters you know that !

Anyone want to venture a guess on how much of Entercom's income comes from Boston operations?

They have operations in San Fran, the number 4 market in country, a classical, and a lite rock station. The Lite rock tops the 6+, the classical station is 9th, the country is below the bottom 20.

But they are 34th in the San Jose 6+ book!

They seem to be doing well in Sacramento Market 27

Sea-Tac market 13..... highest 6+ is 13th in the book

Kansas City, market 32, 9 stations, 5 in the top 20

New Orleans Market 62! 4 of the top 8 stations in 6+

Denver Market 19, #1 station, the rest of the cluster is down there below 10 somewhere in the 6+

Yes I know they have other clusters, but Boston is pretty high up as far as position, they have huge payroll here, expenses for tower space around here are notoriously expensive, studio space, etc etc etc. but I bet the margins are better in Buffalo than they are here.

<---- so does this guy :-\

supposedly Fields sent this memo out, think he is worried about his bonus?

"Overall, our operating performance was poor as we fell short of our goals,”

“What happened? Our ratings were up, we added new products and tools to enhance our sales capabilities, and yet our power ratio dropped significantly. That is exceedingly disappointing and unacceptable.”

Just what would you find odd about this type of note coming from the senior management of any company underperforming in sales?
