This has to be the one market where......

.....radio insiders take this stuff so seriously.
Radio people actually publicly reacting to message boards
Bogus myspace pages to mock personalities
Posters making no bones about who they are slamming others
People tracking blogs

Is this an Atlanta thing? Is it a media ego thing?I'm assuming career suicide doesn't exist in Atlanta anyway since the people some of you post about and recount past nightmares about end up popping up somewhere in the market anyway in spite of reputations. Is it a bad blood thing?

I've never heard Atlanta radio but know conversations with southerners can go on for years.I hope Toucher and Rich can get used to New Englanders who use as few syllables as possible.

Very Southern gothic

The dude is right. 90% of the people on this board are either disgruntled ex-employees, disgruntled current employees, people jealous of others' success and feel it is owed to them also, people who think they understand the business but really don't, or people who simply like to criticize anything and everything to justify their own failures in life. If you are on this board chances are you fall into one of those categories. Not everyone, but most.

Don't forget about those who don't say WHAT category they fit in to (Twitch). ??? ;D

I find this board quite amusing. I've read a few other cities boards, and we're not the most cranky. We don't have the LEAST amount of crankiness either...it seems that we're right in line with the rest of radio-info. ;D

I take it you've never read the Los Angeles board? Dear God, those people are much worse than we are. :p
