This is the way you thank God?

I have been a "read only" for years on this site. It took being disturbed by something that I never expected to hear from a radio station operated by Mr. P to push me over the edge and sign up.

First of all, I am not sure why 92.5 was previously talked about on this board since it is not an Atlanta station. But, I know there are other small markets that have scratched their itch by making their presence known here too.

My gripe is this, Mr. P. You brought the Lord into the picture saying, "The Lord Has Truly Blessed Us And We Give All Thanks To Him." It sounded pretty sincere. Like you have decided to honor God by making your "Live Local" station something anyone could listen to. But then you allow the guys on your nightly program to blaspheme that very statement with their filth. Shame on you! These are two guys who do not belong on a country station. I am not certain that they belong anywhere.

I sure wouldn't want my station cited for obscene and obscure material aired, even in the so-called safe hours. Hasn't anyone learned that you don't have to cross that line to get your point across? Or are these guys just so untrained that they do not know any better? I guess it is true that they let anyone pay their way into radio these days.

I have a question and a comment on this one.

First the question:

To you, what was said that was considered obscene, blaspheme or filth?

Now the comment, which is an opinon with some fact.

****AGAIN- this is JUST an OPINION and we know the saying about them****

Scott and Charlie and two "local yokel" tv guys from the Newnan tv station who have absolutely no radio experience other than the few months they have been doing "High Octane Radio." Most ofthier work in in Newnan "television." While on the air, I admit that I have a southern accent but I have worked hard to elimiate as much of my Southern pronunication. As Joe explained to me...there is a difference between a Southern accent and Southern pronunication. I have to admit that these guys sound like they have an exaggerated Southern pronunication and accent. These guys sound horribly unprofessional because of thier voice work that goes on the air, which makes the rest of the staff down. The rest of the on-air staff sounds great...don't get me wrong! Moby, Chris, Uncle Rich...they all sound great and have the voice work to prove it!

Basically...Scott and Charlie "think" they are radio guys because they work in Newnan "televsion."

Sorry Joe if that ruffles your feathers and I don't mean to offend. I thought the guys sounded horrible while they were working for the Newnan stations and I am JUST EXPRESSING AN OPINION!

Wow, sounds like I need to start listening to 92.5 The Bear more often! I have received it on occasion here in Marietta. As a side note, this is not any different from famous celebrities who thank God when they win awards then commit obscene acts at other times.
