The "Place with more news" reached a new low today...

Who: Interns at 3TV
What: A weather live shot, with weatherman and D-backs Brass.
Where: Chase Field
When: Noon
Why: who knows...


the picture was tuned in, but for some reason ... they either forgot the mics.. or forgot to bring batteries. Either way, in order to send back audio for the shot...they used a cell phone?!?!?! Just cancel the shot for pete's sake. The last thing you want viewers seeing is a live shot that is 2 seconds ahead of the audio (cell phone audio at that)

They were actually holding the phone like they were making a call... um, guys... you just need to use the mic on the phone... stop making yourselves look even more stupid. Oh wait... then the producer calls during the shot?!?!?! I guess the producers don't actually watch their own shows. (I hear it was her way of giving a time cue to wrap it up)... If someone can put that on youtube... I'd appreciate it!!!!

I thought eating lunch at home today was going to be boring... I was wrong!

Ouch! I tell you what, KVOA looks awesome for its newscast as slick as it is with the set. It will be a good thing for all the stations!
