this is 'wild'

101.1 has started(again) to "pick" on kiss..
in a recent on-aire promo:

"there is another station, in town that says,
'they are the number one hit music station...but are they?'
do they play this(audio sample), this(audio of current song)
or this one?(audio sample). When you hear this station say,
they are the one number one hit music station, JUST LAUGH!
and remember to keep it locked on the true HIT MUSIC station..
not playing some of the hits, some of the time, but all
the hits, wild 101."

it was funny!! production sizzled, it was tight..and very
quick. it is what a dual chr-radio dial needs..but even more ha-ha- knowing
the back story..interesting to see where this takes us.

either w/ kiss985: step up the playlist; drop the 'gold' and
fast forward the 'leftovers' from the classic lunch.

w/wild101. see if this new angle is followed by more aggressive
"slams" or..if it was just a one-time spike..to catch people off guard.

Yes, even us 40-somethings love to see an old fashion CHR pissing contest. It brings back the days when (fill in classic battles here: Q-102.5 vs. Kiss; WNYS vs. Kiss; WKBW vs. Super-Q; WKBW vs. WYSL) but when all's said and done, the bottom line is Kiss wins. Not even close. Still, nice to see Entercom have to earn its keep. The scorned PD vs. the company that scorned him. Wonderful drama. By the way, isn't Aunt Janet getting a little long in the tooth for the format? Just a matter of time before she takes her act and Uncle Nick down the hall to Star.

Would YOU want to be the one to tell Little Miss Maxi-Mouth that she's "getting LONG in the TOOTH?"

Protective gear would be a smart move. She can't help but aim low...

Long before the days of WTSS, and a while before Q102, it was actually MAGIC 102(WMJQ BUFFALO) vs. Kiss 98five (WKSE BUFFALO) 'nuff said...unless ratings IN BUFFALO somehow improve for Wild 101...does Buffalo even know that station exsists today? Niagara may...but does Buffalo?

Sounds to me like an attempt to stop local Niagara area listeners from listening to Kiss, rather than a true attempt to grab the Buffalo ear, but I could be wrong...
