ANOTHER staffer is leaving this makes ummmmmmm oh 20-25 in the last year and this time it is a full timer leaving the airwaves.......and who u may ask??? well lets say morning show number 4 is on the way
 
well who please tell me its jim monaham PLEASE!!!!! and why were at it can tony leave too please.wdha has turned into a sorry excuse for a rock station.
 
Well if that's the case they may as well VOICETRACK mornings or roll his "Mid-Day Memorex" Monday through Friday since he really has NOTHING NEW to offer when he cracks the mic. Such a shame that such talented folks seem to be scrambling for the door. The GIANT ABYSS gets deeper and deeper...

well the danny divito look alike needs to learn to use a delay before he is ready for a morning show. 3 "f" bombs flew when he had the band black stone cherry instudio. but it must be ok since he's the pd and can do whatever he wants

They're a heavy Southern Rock band that had a Top 20 Active Rock hit with "Lonely Train", and to my knowledge, of the Greater Media cluster of "Active" (actually mainstream, dinosaur-leaning rock, truth be told) Rock stations, WDHA is the only one playing Black Stone Cherry.

If the ratings are falling at WDHA and WRAT, it's because the stations are so damned boring to listen to. It's the same old same old day in and day out, with no changes and no surprises to be found at all. Everything they play is so MOR, and Greater Media doesn't get it - if we wanted MOR, that's what stations like WJLK, WOBM and WPLJ are for! There is too much similar competition for these stations - if they went full-on Active, they would attract a good-sized audience that currently isn't tuning in. Why bother competing with a Classic Rock station that has a stronger signal (that goes for both stations)? Do something different!
 
or they cant leave the radio on for "f" bombs being dropped while at work! something a pd who has been around the "Bloch" will not allow.
 
When Tony Paige was brought in as PD, a lot of people were shaking their heads. One NYC PD commented that Paige would crash the place...they were right. Paige must go. Are you reading this Buzz Knight? Dump this guy before he turns WDHA into a parking lot.
Hint to GM: Get a PD with a proven track record, pay him/her well and get out of the way. But it's not Tony Paige.

if it is really tony how does it feel to be the one who ruined a great station? my guess is you either 1. dont care or 2. too dumb to relize it. the station was so much better before you were there it was actually great to listen to, but i guess your one of those edgy guys who likes to have bands drop f bombs the one day i flipped it back on at the office.
why dont you get a life outside of radio

I've got the entire interview recorded (listened to it several times for the Fbomb), and not one Fbomb on the entire inteview or during the performance. sorry to disappoint you.

First you critisize that DHA sounds like every other station by playing the same music as they do, then you critisize that DHA plays BLACK STONE CHERRY, and nobody else does. so, I say, What is the true critisism?

Now, stop being such a COWARD!!! and come out from behind your hidden login name. And in stead of critisizing, send me all of your programming ideas, and perhaps I'll use them (of course, I'll take credit for it-IF THEY WORK!)

If it doesn't work, I'll get in my Carr, drive down the BLOCH, and never come back, KAY!!? (boy, was that clever!!!)

i think ive made i clear before that i work for ups! so again i'll come out and say HEY I WORK FOR UPS ! been there 16yrs if you really must know. so post your interview somewhere because the F bombs were clear as could be and i wasnt the only one who herd it.
I just cant belive dha would hire a rookie such as yourself to lead a station that was right up there with the ny stations and now it cant even compete with wnnj! that station used to sound like a college station now it sounds great! even the web site looks major market and dha's web site looks like....well it looks like tony paige is running it.
bottom line is great people make a company and it doesnt look like you have any left!
 
Right on Tony! I love Stone Cold Cherry and listened on-line. The f-bomb thing is totally bogus. Radroad a UPS employee? Please. Why would a "shipping" employee be so obsessed with this message board? That's like us who are actually in the biz spending our time on a "shipping" blog complaining about boxes. All I know is that many from that station have left for NYC radio...more than I can say about us here in AC. Radroad, move on, it's embarrising.
 
Ahhhh So this place is only for people in radio? Well people wont have to worry about Tony or anybody else there for that matter as the uppers of GM in Braintree Mass. are looking into (dare I say it) a format change and cleaning of the house of DHA! Jan 1, 2007 will be a "Softer rock of NJ"
