Hmmm...

BJ is trying pretty hard to extole the virtues of this new arrangement, but the Leykis listeners that are getting on don't seem pleased AT ALL about the tape delay idea. I can't decide whether it's funny or sad to have to hear BJ trying to put a positive spin to all this

When all else fails, clear the phone bank and SPIN A TUNE! :(

Why did the hold the press conference in the first place if they're going to sit all afternoon and give each other verbal hand-jobs to each other all day long?

They're trying to get everybody in a lather over a show that's six weeks away from being on the air. And stopped playing music while doing that.

They must have made a "post press conference" decision, as she's now listed as 6pm-10pm.

Well they very emphatically told me at noon that Tom was no longer being carried by Entercom, and no sooner could I post that here, than they turned around and started telling people he will be on KISW nights...

Sounds like a post press conference decision that was made when the phones all started exploding and they looked out the window to see the angry throngs of Leykis listeners coming to burn the studios down...

Just a classic case of poor communications in the communications business, that's all.

Have to admit it seems a mighty odd "miscommunication" that the release covered virtually every conceivable detail EXCEPT not breathe a word about their most central Buzz figure Leykis, or R&M of course but why bother since we all know they're done at Entercom.

In any case you would surely think that one could not "accidentally overlook" addressing what was to become of Tom? The only other omission was the show that was going away (R&M) so what does that say about any intentional silence on Leykis? And really, what kind of fool would CHOOSE to put him on tape delay nights??

The whole thing stinks of a last second change of course to prevent an angry mob of flaming Camaros driving through the station lobby

Although I suppose Leykis is still alive, albeit not in Seattle, Tom has been a big supporter of BJ's over the years, all the while bashing R&M. Nice backstab. BJ does a decent job, but if he thinks he's good enoguh to be stabbing icons like Tom in the back, he's wrong. He'll never do better than market #14.

99.9 and 100.7 are both broadcasting in HD, right? Leykis listeners rejoice... it's Tom Leykis 24/7 on KISW-HD2!

Let me clarify that that was said in the same breath as announcing Leykis would be on KISW nights

BJ's comment was a 'veiled' reference to Robin & Maynard's show being dead, not Tom's
