THIS JUST IS: 103.9 is now COUNTRY LEGENDS

They're playing the Country Legend hits, no messin around here.
Now let's see if Clear Channel has the balls to bring back The Bull on 98.9
to skrew up the Country marketplace. Question is what do the guys in Boston think; who'll be buying
Clear channel next week or Mr Robert Wright their new business consultant from NBC.
Should be interesting!!!!

I think they'll be in good shape at CC. Bain is chiefly responsible for the recent successes of Burger King and Staples. Whether or not they can bring that kind of magic to a radio company remains to be seen but most of the CC employees I talk to seem pretty excited about it. One can only hope this will bring positive changes to radio alltogether.

Bain for the most part is a good company. However, this is one of the largest ventures in the media side of things anyone has gotten into. Bain wants everything under Market 75 out...possibly even Market 50

So what is everyone's opinion of the legends thus far?

It should be a healthy addition to the Louisville radio market. WAMZ and WHAS have long existed with little or no competition and as a result, really aren't very good radio stations. Competition makes most of us better because we're challenged. WAMZ is really a bad country station and hopefully, they'll do the intelligent thing and improve their quality in response to a new country format in the market, even though classic country is a niche.
