Yeah we're putting time into it because those arrogant stuffed shirts in the NEPA media have for too long gotten away without someone to rebut them! If you feel it worthy please spread the word and thanks! :)

So, just what is it we have here? Are not most of us cynical enough to at least always wonder if things are what they appear to be?

Things are more often than not what they appear to be. Belief in that, and also in the notion that, no good deed goes unpunished, have served me well in life.

Is Watcher a watchdog, or is Watcher a Machiavelli drumming up interest in a certain product?

Good Grief Charlie Brown! Pardon the intrusion!

Can no one in this area take anything at face value? We can assure you that in no way, shape or form are we connected with anyone or anything remotely having to do with any news outlet or media at all for that matter.

We are exactly what we say we are. We're just some nobody tired of being fed pompous, self-serving b******t by our local news media, WILK in particular, and trying in our own poor, small and inept way to do something about it and maybe effect some change.

If you can't accept this then don't read us.

As Junior Samples used to say "Thanks for your support!" :(

Well it is hard to take at face value when there is no face. The veil of anonymity, when doing a regular blog, is a detriment to credibility. If you want to take others to task, then perhaps you need to demonstrate a courage of conviction and attach a name to your work.

Whether you do or not is up to you, but you should not get upset when people wonder what your true agenda is. You are claiming to hold others responsible and expose hypocrisy when you are unwilling to be held responsible via your mask.

A little hypocritical in itself isn't it? ???

Did that help or do you now want to know where I live, my life history and what I had for breakfast? And ya know what? If I told you all that you STILL wouldn't know who I was so your point is?

Look, I don't read your profiles because they'd mean nothing to me and I actually don't care who you all are. You all seem to be intelligent people who are or were somehow involved in broadcasting and that's enough for me.
 
honestly i dont care who anyone is on this board, this is an informal discussion group. but on a blog you should i.d. yourself if you want credibility. look at wilkes-barre on line or yonk's blog. they take responsiblity for what they say in their blogs. you are the one getting defensive when people question your agenda.

And we would believe that why? If you are, as you say, not connected to the media in NE PA, it makes me wonder just what interest you have here on this board. More importantly, perhaps, is what drives your loathing of WILK. That in itself is a bit malodorous. I'd guess that if we discovered your true identity, we'd immediately understand why you're here, what you're trying to accomplish.

If you're trying to convince the masses that WILK isn't worthy of a listen, this isn't the place to take to the pulpit make that sermon. You're dealing with a rather narrowly focused group of individuals on this board, almost all of whom either now work, or have worked, in the broadcasting business, and more specifically, in radio.

You do realize, don't you, that the WILK people you are attacking are doing talk-radio, and that talk-radio is the very definition of opinion? Right, left, centrist, ultra-liberal, arch-conservative, it's all opinion. I'd say it's becoming increasingly clear that this country's politics are drifting more back towards center, which is fine by me. It apparently annoys you no end.

You seem almost afraid that Corbett and Lynn are going to convert a few Hannity fans now that he's gone from their line-up.

For now, I'm sticking with my Machiavellian theory. Let's not lose sight of the fact that you came here and climbed out on that high limb. If you fall, don't blame "us."
 
Okay, let's put this in perspective.
The guy says he's Jack Victor, doesn't mean a thing to me but that doesn't diminish him personaly. So Jack Victor or aka RCA Victor starts a media blog. Okay, so that interests us because we are like the die hard "Godfather" or "Star Wars" fans, put the product out there like A&E and Bravo has seemed to have done this summer and we'll watch it. Same thing with Jack here, he's smashing WILK and we're reading about it. The adding the identity to the blog is really up to him. I put my name on mine because I would hate to have some one taking credit for my writing. Not noble there, purely selfish because writing is one of the things I think I'm good at. But if he wants to remain anonymous, as objective people, we either hold that against him or just take his opinions for what they are worth. If he stays anonymous, and I'm believing he hasn't because he told us he's Jack Victor and I have no evidence to believe that isn't true, and keeps posting, I'm still going to be wildly entertained because I like this stuff. I saw Corbett today on a side street in Kingston talking to a couple. He was dressed in casual clothes, the long hair was waving in the wind, and he was carrying a long object in a leather case. I was driving by and waved but that's all I saw. I wondered immediately, "what would the watcher" say? Jack Victor has not said anything on his blog about WILK Radio and its staff that hasn't been said here by many members, and I've defended WILK, Kman and all of them vigorously.
I guess what I'm trying to say is let's not discourage thoughtful discussion of a subject, even discussions I pretty much disagree with just because the Lone Ranger has decided not to take off the mask.
