This makes absolutely no sense...

So I was watching the iHeartRadio Music Festival special on CW56, where they showed clips of the concert. But there was something I saw that made absolutely no sense at all. "This broadcast of the iHeartRadio Music Festival is brought to you locally by 103.3 AMP Radio."

Seriously, that's messed up. It makes absolutely no sense for the iHeartRadio Music Festival to be sponsored locally by 103.3 AMP Radio, because as everyone knows, 103.3 AMP Radio is NOT an iHeartRadio station! Tell me how that works.

1033 AMP radio bought the sponsorship...smart on their part...

Good for Amp.
Is this sloppy work by CC's legal department, just as not putting a poison pill in Howie's contract was sloppy work by WTTK and Howie's team ?
Or was CC so desperate to get this televised they couldn't put any conditions on sponsors ?

The local TV station sells the time. CC has no control over who advertises locally any more than The Voice has control over whether it's Ernie Boch or Commonwealth Motors.

definitely nonsensical things about radio.. on my usual evening stroll thru Uphams corner, Junior Rodigan was infuriating everyone about the Patriots' loss for going on 45 minutes and decided to flip the dial and came across "Radio Alpha and Omega".. new to me. perhaps not to n1zzn or Pine Hill DXers...

OR sloppy work by WNAC when they donated a commercial to the Ch. 2 auction back in the 70s. The Ch. 56 general manager bid on it under his own name and won and 7 had to run a spot for the Big Movie on 56 during their late news -- back in the days when you didn't acknowledge that any other broadcasting company existed
