I just woke up to see you mentioned Little Vincent's...wow Springfield, you really DO know everything!!!
 
Little Vincents is certainly great, but had you taken thr HB-107 gig, you would've come to know that Uncle Joe's was a close second.
 
The market isn't good because of the pay. I know it has already been stated, but it's plain and simple. There are other shadow markets which pay alot more for the cost of living than Long Island does. But, Long Island stations bank on kids that will work for peanuts and live at mom's while trying to make it big. NYC pulls alot of it's talent from all over the country. Why? Because it is major market, and recruits and PAYS for the best. Long Island is not market 18 radio. It only is market 18 by population. How many people work on Long Island, that aren't from Long Island? Yeah...so you get the same ideas, same sound, and same level of experience. Which amounts for a bunch of lackluster radio.
