This Story May Not Be Appropriate For Younger Viewers

That's basically what Jovita Moore said yesterday before Channel 2 aired a story about a Doraville man arrested for bestiality and possessing child porn. Now I know it wasn't the child porn that prompted the warning to parents because they've aired countless stories about that as well as teachers and students having sex, men having sex with men in K-Mart bathrooms, etc. But when it comes to bestiality that's where Channel 2 draws the line -- well, not in not airing the story but warning parents they might not want their children to hear what some man allegedly did to rover. Interesting to know Channel 2 doesn't think all the murders, rapes, beatings, people set on fire, falling out of buildings, and so on and so on, may not be appropriate for children.

I heard the same warning message on AM 750/95.5 FM WSB during their newscast. I thought to myself that they simply could have shared the story that he was arrested on a sex act and not provided any details.

Knowing the state of news these days, the entire newscast may not be appropriate for some viewers, and that's including weather, business, health news, sports and commercials.

They may as well put a "warning" banner on the story in the AJC.
