This-TV now on the air in Dallas-FW

MGM's "This-TV" is now on WFAA channel 8.3. Looking forward to those old Mister Ed and Sea Hunt episodes I haven't seen in years!

You beat me to it! I was just logging on to note the same thing.
I will be curious to see how much, if any, promotion channel 8 does for this station on their main channel.
It's worth a mention during their entertainment segments on the morning and noon shows.

I'd love to see those. Do any of the cable company show the digital subs?

Verizon carries a lot of the digital subchannels, but none from channel 8.
I get NBC weather plus from channel 5, Universal Sports from channel 5, LATV from 33, plus 4 from KPXD.

Time Warner only carries:
KXAS-DT 5.2 ("NBC Plus") on channel 365
KXAS-DT 5.3 (Universal Sports) on channel 366
WFAA-DT 8.2 ("News 8 Now") on channel 371

It used to carry KDAF-DT 33.2 when it was The Tube. When The Tube folded, so did 33.2 for a while. The channel allocated for 33.2 went away on TW and never came back when 33.2 came back with LATV.

They Launched ThisTV on FOX 19.3 (11.3) in Victoria about a month or so ago. I like that channel interesting stuff...

Just checked 8.2's listings on my DVTPal DVR and EPG is working, but TV Guide On Screen only has info for 11 hours ahead, stops at 2 AM tomorrow morning. 8.1 as well as most other channels have TV Guide info for 7 days. Still not quite there yet.

Updating my own post...Time Warner's programming changes notification this week says it will add WFAA-DT 8.3 (This TV) on channel 372 and KERA-DT 13.2 (KERA World) on channel 383.

I haven't received any change notification yet from Time Warner on this but it's good to hear. Still waiting on TW to add KDAF 33.2 which airs LATV.

It may add it to a different tier. Here in Austin when KVUE dropped weather on its subchannel and changed to Estrella TV, TW moved the subchannel from next to KVUE's HD channel to the 600s where it has its Spanish language digitals clustered.

Change channel page on the TW Dallas website:

The bi-monthly Dallas Morning News notification run is put there: http://www.timewarnercable.com/Medi...transmissions/TWC_NTX DALLAS MORNING NEWS.pdf

It just says the additions of WFAA-DT 8.3 and KERA-DT 13.2 are planned. The other change is to move NBA TV off the sports tier. Time Warner signed an agreement to move it off the sports tier to a more available digital line-up nationally. That change hasn't happened yet locally either. I wish they would finally add the NHL Network. Time Warner has a deal with that...and it is carried on TW systems in many other markets in the state, except of course the one market with an actual NHL team in it. I had thought the carriage of NHL Center Ice PPV package required carrying the NHL Network, but maybe the local system is under an older contract?

Well, after 3 months the main issue I have with This TV is the excessive repetiton of commercials in movies. Yes of course it is a commercial station and they will run commercials, but last night for example I watched "For A Few Dollars More" and every 7-8 minutes they would break for 5 minutes of commercials, a lot of which were self promotion ads for This TV. Stretched a 2 hr 10 min movie (uncut, probably shorter for "TV") out to 3 hrs. Started at 11PM, I was up til 2AM to finish it! I can't do that too often.

Can't answer that as I haven't wached AMC in quite a while, even though I get it on my old C-band satellite dish (4DTV subscription).
