Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the Jack FM format, and listen to it in Nashville, when I travel there weekly. But to change a heritage oldies station like WCBS is just purely driven by ego, and the fear that someone else may pick it up.

This certainly means that other heritage stations like WRBQ, Tampa, and many other Infinity stations will be flipping to Jack very soon! Nothing is sacred and off limits, to the brainless wonders at these large companies.

I agree with some threads. Scott Shannon and WPLJ should go back to WABC FM, and fill the format hole immediately. Scott's love for oldies, and his ability, could lead to another strong ratings success story in the Big Apple.

As I said at a recent FCC forum, making headlines on R&R, when I spoke, in regards to full power radio broadcast companies. "They've already destroyed themselves". With moves like this, they did it again!!

Use Jack FM for under performing stations, not stations with 30 year heritage.

Thanks!

WJMK was Chicago's oldies station for 21 years! And bye bye it goes. Why the heck they didn't put it on the tanking 105.9 WCKG is beyond me.
