The last paragraph, "You Have Two Messages," continues a theme that Carter B. Smith noted a few weeks ago: are humans actually running radio stations these days?
Carter mentioned that KTRB was running dead air one morning ... no programming, just silence. But the breaks (with station IDs and promos) were running right on schedule!
This time, it's KKGN (Green 960). Lynn Jimenez is quoted as saying, "We were just listening to 'Green 960' and the Thom Hartmann show, and someone was on the phone retrieving messages -- and it was all on the radio. Two messages got broadcast all over the place ... It's so automated over there, their phone line went on the radio."
On the bright side for Clear Channel/SF, somebody who works at KGO was listening to Green 960!
