i went to kiss985.com / a chr serving the BUffalo-niagara falls region, and get this:

this is common, u can vote for the song of the summer:
but didnt list any dance hits. i actually would vote for,
kat deLuna "whine up" or hmmmaybe even rehab,amy winehouse, but
neither were avail to click on...and no spot for a write in...

if i was a chr-MD, i would use this, as a gauge to see what my
listeners, want to hear --- ( i am sure that is why it is there) but
it was a narrow-niche genre, of the mtv-top10.

how much would it help dance music, even if it doesnt get all the votes,
to have a one or two dance-leaning hits, on the list !?
 
I went to the survey and it's on point as far as the station is concerned. The songs you see were the ones that got the most airplay and requests at the station throughout the summer. It's not about any old song from any genre. It's about the records that Kiss played that spoke the most to their typical listener.
Judging by the ratings, someone must be doing something right - the station is back in the 6 shares despite the competition from the Niagra Falls station...
