Thom Hartmann moving to 3 PM-6 PM ET beginning March 12

According to this page at Talkers Magazine, Thom Hartmann will be moving his show to the 3 PM-6 PM ET slot, beginning March 12th. This means that Thom and Ed Schultz's shows (who are both syndicated by Dial Global) can both air live, instead of having to compete against each other for the same time slot. Apparently, both Hartmann and Schultz cooperated with this move.

Hartmann is THE MAN. Why don't some open-minded conservative stations (there's an oxymoron !) run him late nights or overnights instead of Coast To Coast, for instance?

Because he is not a conservative. He's far more reasonable than most talkers on both sides of the aisle, but he is still a liberal.

He doesn't deal with "breaking news" much, so live or recorded it is about the same.

Hartmann's is an intelligent guy. I had the pleasure of being on his show for a brief interview at some radio row election thing in 2008.

However, his affiliate list on his website needs some help. Lots of the radio stations listed don't carry him anymore or have completely changed formats. (Just finished parsing through them all today.)
