Thomas H. Lee Partners and Clear Channel Jackson

One day last week on the Score, I came in the middle of a recorded announcement by Mike Bridges reading off the names of people associated with a company called Thomas H. Lee Partners. Mike mentioned toward the end the announcement that a copy of the application can be viewed for public inspection at the Score's office on Beasley Rd. I've tried to listen for it again for more information, but to no avail so far. Is this company attempting to buy the Score or all of Clear Channel's Jackson stations or is there something else going on?

Speaking as a Clear Channel employee from the coast. CC has gone pvt and they are one of the owners now.

The deal (worth about $26.7 Billion, including $8 Billion of debt) is expected to close by the end of the year. the company is still publically traded...

Clear Channel's stations are all owned by a numbre of "companies" that are merged into CC.

With the sale going through, they are doing the paperwork cleanup to bring them into a single company. In other words, legal bookeeping. Not really a sale or spinoff.
