Thought Gary LaPierre Retired ?

Gee, I thought Gary LaPierre retired??? :D I'm hearing him more and more on 'BZ and other stations (Long's Jewelers, Beverly Hospital) as well as offering his opinions regarding the presidential race.

Yes, those were Gary's dulcet tones I was hearing on WRKO, talking about his treatments at
Beverly Hospital. Hey, you can "retire" and still do some ads.

Yes, Dave Maynard did various spots after he retired from WBZ. Untold story about the Beverly Hospital spots: the ambulance had to keep Gary on life-support during the ride from Sarasota, Florider to Beverly.

maybe it is just me, but i find those beverly hospital ads...well...tacky.

if lapierre wanted to make a few extra bucks in his old age, why not just sell amway.

instead, he takes the tacky route.

I'm pretty sure it isn't because he needs the money. Caught him a couple of weeks ago during the NH primary coverage, and it almost seemed as if he was competing with Ed Walsh as the news anchor vs. being brought in as a commentator.

Oh, as I type this, here is he again on another 'BZ ad. Don't get me wrong, I know a lot of folks do commercial "gigs" following their retirement. My initial post was more "tongue in cheek" regarding how often I'm hearing him in his "retirement."

Peace!
