Just some random thoughts and questions...
1) Do the "dry" beds make the talent seem "dry" to you? One thing it has done is lead to some bad habits forming. I've heard Hill on two occasions where she was obviously not using headphones, as she was played a commercial while still reading a piece, and then when she was done fired the next commercial element, leaving the other commercial short of time. Also, whenever she talks, she seems quiet, POD IT UP.
2) We got used to a firey Nick Monroe in the afternoon drive, but Jeremy just seems to not have any personality. He runs a tight board, and his shift sounds better than most on the station in terms of that (he's adopted well to talking dry from an audio standpoint) but his talk breaks are bland! He doesn't say ANYTHING!
3) I like the idea of having New Music Pods, where we hear about the artist of the new music before it's played... but can't the jocks talk up these records during live shifts, and not rely on a guy who owns a skate shop?
4) Walking a ramp once in a while is a good thing, but I have yet to hear one walked on the station.
5) The one time I tuned in to the morning show I heard them reviewing a book. Is this normal for the show? What is their target demo?
Musically, the ebb and flow is there of a AAA station with alternative elements, but the jocks just seem to be a step behind. As sad as it is to say (I love local radio), until things improve, I think the jockless station was better to listen to.
