Thoughts on RMW

Kenny's post about Rebecca Morse Whitten made me think of this.

She did get the "not guilty" on all charges that were filed against her in her little attempt to create a drive-thru at Cheaters that December night.

The first thing she should've done when she left court was get an attorney and file a wrongful termination lawsuit against Jim Corwin and Clear Channel. A good attorney could get her big bucks for what CC did to her. Mind you, I'm not impressed by someone driving drunk... but I'm pretty sure she was canned two days after the accident. Not given a leave of absence, or re-hired when the trial was over.

RMW... if you read this, get a lawyer and go for the $$$$. It's not the first illeagal thing Jim Corwin and Clear Channel have done, and not the last.

RMW should never have put herself into the position where she could be hit with a DUI charge, guilty or not guilty finding notwithstanding.

The activities of prominent personalities automatically reflect on their stations, good or bad... it doesn't matter if a jock is "on their own time." That's just the reality of the business, and something each jock is EXPECTED to understand. Oldies personalities are supposed to have squeaky-clean images. That's just the way it is. Maybe it's a double-standard with Geoff Charles, but WHJY targets a much different audience than WWBB, so they can look the other way. Is it fair? No. Is it reality? Yes.

That's good she's getting a second chance, but CC was justified in their actions.
